Re: 777 Partners Takeover
I think there's an argument to say in football terms they are much better equipped than moshiri, who was actively an idiot bull in a chinashop unfortunately, or allowed and enabled other idiotic bovine types to run similarly amok.
But it sounds like a massive multi layered gamble that 777 and A-CAP are making and we would be a part of the grift, and I just want no part.
Whoever this mysterious debt-averse second bidder is that Josimar keep mentioning, we could really really do with 777 being declined and these showing themselves sharpish.

Re: 777 Partners Takeover
I might be over thinking this, but if we are successful in the appeal and we get some points back, I can half see Masters approving these guys just to stick it to us.
He seems like that much of a cock that it's something he will do.
Is administration an actual possibility? I thought this was wide of the mark. We've made profit in the last 3 windows and will likely make a big sale this summer.
We must he trending in the right direction soon surely.
Don't believe we are as close to administration as people are suggesting we are.

Doesn’t mask the fact we piss away money and make staggering losses

We're starting to buck the trend slowly though.Cereal Killer wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2024 4:07 pm We’ve made a bit of profit on transfer sales

We are a lot more careful with wages these days and at the end of this season Gomes and Ali are off the wage bill, both earning north of 100k.
Reducing our wage bill will be the biggest thing we can do and we appear to be doing that, or at least trying too, as well as making profit for the last few windows.
Don't get me wrong, our finances are terrible but a lot of people are saying 777 or bust, but I just don't believe that's the case.

Re: 777 Partners Takeover
So they desperately need us, to try to entice new investors, just say they can pay off hugely growing existing debts?
What do these new investors get out of it?
No surprise they’ve not had any interest so far
It’s almost as if they’d need a bigger club in the CL after us to get more investors to pay off these ones
All ponzi like
They’re fucked, let’s not be a bigger part of it than we already are

Re: 777 Partners Takeover
The Prem is much, much bigger than all other leagues they are involved in commercially. Just having any Prem team at the top of their model would make a huge difference to their portfolio.Cereal Killer wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2024 4:11 pm So they desperately need us, to try to entice new investors, just say they can pay off hugely growing existing debts?

We need to hope and pray that this bid fails, and the other bid is progressed.
If the Prem wanted to destroy us, as conspiracy theorists have suggested, they could've easily waived 777 through, so I don't buy that particular brand of nonsense. We need them to put the kibosh on this bid ASAP.
Re: 777 Partners Takeover
So quick question.
We owe these cats what? 180M is it?
What happens if the company goes down the shitter?

This is all good news, no? It brings more bad press to 777 and makes them being approved much less likely.

I'm hoping so, but so much still unknown. It does feel like there's something personal between the prem and us.Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2024 4:53 pm This is all good news, no? It brings more bad press to 777 and makes them being approved much less likely.

Re: 777 Partners Takeover
Much as I agree that the other business has been handled incompetently and we are some sort of pawn in an anti-regulation narrative, I don't buy the Prem actually wanting to ruin us. Would be very bad press for one of their founder members and an ever-present to go under. They could've easily waived this through in December and said ''oh well'', if they wanted to ruin us. Moshiri obviously doesn't care, and the Prem may actually be our only line of defence against these shysters.Paddockoldie wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2024 5:04 pm I'm hoping so, but so much still unknown. Just wish the mainstream media would pick up on the 777 shambles in this country, rather than niche twitter accounts, because it needs to be widespread. I think if Panorama or the Guardian or BBC did some sustained pieces on this, it would very quickly make the takeover untenable.
