Just seeing that we have the biggest Xg underperformance in the entirety of Europe's top 5 leagues this season, and on top of that only Barcelona and Bayern have missed more big chances than us in the top 5 leagues.

Just a a decent striker away from mid table safety, even with the points deduction

Also been 29 games since we got a penalty, and the next longest in all of Europe's top 5 leagues is 20 games.

Remember that season we went to the last game or 2? My mind says we got one against Newcastle on the last day - but that might be my mind over-exaggerating on me

This is what I meant by lesson in the Maups thread @TheRam .

Everything would be fine if we just had another player who isn't the player we've got.

Anyone else feel like giving him a bit of credit for our having the best defensive record apart from the top three ? Askin for a friend.

Not really the first thing that comes to mind after conceding two goals in a match tbh. It's impressive though.

Would be great if we looked like we could create a decent chance from open play sometime soon, maybe when Doucs is back.

Think he's doing an amazing job. Week after week we are battling, week after week we are creating enough to win games. All with a club in shambles, points deductions and no money

Without such poor finishing which really isn't down to him we'd be midtable even with the minus 10

Don't think people will ever really accept him. Which is a shame given our recent record of hiring managers. Comfortably the best performing manager we've had since moyes. If we are still a premier league team when we move to the new stadium he'll have performed a miracle.

So the answer is no based on today’s match then ? Still doesn’t change the fact that we have conceded less goals than any other club bar tge topthree, I think that’s pretty decent.

I think he's doing a great job, I just think you could have Dyche here in two years and it would be the same sort of performances even if he got exactly the players he wanted and the club was in a stable place. Therefore, it's not something that I get particularly excited about. It doesn't feel like we're putting down foundations and moving to becoming a great team with this being the start of something amazing. We work hard and we're really well structured which gives us a chance in most matches and that's an improvement on what we've seen in recent times, so credit to him for that.

I don't know why some people take criticism of Dyche as a manager (or not lauding him with praise) to mean that someone is saying he's not doing a great job so far.

Got to be honest and say there's not a single thing I get excited about with Everton right now, I feel like I've been shot and I'm bleeding out desperately hoping the ambulance arrives in time.

I don’t think he’s able to put down foundations.

He’s doing an incredible job for the situation he’s in with the club.

Deserves all the credit in the world and deserves to have a better set up behind him.

It’s just a pity considering how good the press is that once we win the ball back there is no plan bar keep crossing it in and hope for the best

This isn’t true at all.
