Re: Carlos Alcaraz
With Ndiaye and McNeil injured he’s the only midfielder we have who actually wants to take a risk.
He’s going to lose possession trying things but that comes with the territory - players like De Bruyne and Bruno Fernandes lose possession more than anybody in the league because they actually try stuff.
Right now we’re all happy so it’s fine, but at some point we’ll go on a shit run and the boo boys will turn on him

Many on here won’t remember when we signed an unknown player called Paul Bracewell from Sunderland….who the Fkk was he?
What a player he turned out to be….same position…

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
He's also young and fresh to the league, so sometimes taking those risks when he probably shouldn't even if we're asking him to be that kind of player. Hopefully he'll learn and start to understand his team mates better and we'll see less of it.StirlingBlue wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2025 1:17 pm With Ndiaye and McNeil injured he’s the only midfielder we have who actually wants to take a risk.

The positive for me is that his head doesn't drop when it happens, he also worked hard to win it back a few times, which might soften those negative vibes slightly.

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
He's exciting and when he settles in, him and Ndiaye will be great to watch. Deffo keep him
Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Scored and assisted in his first start, played Beto through one on one on his second and flashed a shot narrowly wide.
I've seen enough. A very rough diamond but the tools are there to be a baller imo, and he's got excellent work rate too.
Sub £20m so has the potential to be a steal.
I'm all in, balls deep if you like on signing this guy.

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Reminds me a bit of Morgan Rodgers with his ability to charge through the midfield. Love it.
Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Did ok didnt he. Fast feet and quick brain.
was so obvious we'd run out of ideas and steam.. We're ki d of one dimensional, but we started really well.

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Difference maker.
We need to transition away from Doucoure to people like him who can use the ball better.

Always supported Doucs but last night showed why he's not worth a contract extension. Sign Charly up though.
