All depends on the loan fee and how much of his wages we will have to cover.

I was ready to say meh but he actually appears to have had quite a good season at right back for Lyon.

Strangely, he didn’t play there much when he was in England.

Good squad filler at worst. Competent right back at best. I’m kinda into it despite the mediocre age profile (assuming that Lyon are desperate for cash and he won’t be remotely expensive).

Edit: This was about Maitland-Niles.

Can never say no to players like Maitland-Niles.

This reeks of us waiting for City’s desperation to peak so they will eat a maximal chunk of his wages.

Ndiaye and Grealish alone would make for an absurdly pressure-resistant attacking midfield grouping and lots of retention in the final third. Gets even more brutal for opposing teams if we add a pacy dribbler like Fofana.

This is normally the sort of move I’m not into but Grealish is on an entirely different planet from the rest of the squad. I hope it’s true.

Maitland-Niles and Grealish on loan gets my seal of approval.

They'd both be excellent signings.

The thought of Grealish and Ndiaye in the same side gets me very excited.

I think at this stage Moyes is best off looking at T-shaped players who can cover multiple positions, so AMN would definitely fit that brief, particularly with Prem experience.

Nah.

For all of his faults, Garner being able to jump into the team and offer a boring 6.5/10 at CM is an asset.

Perfect squad midfielder for a side that’s not in Europe (… yet).

I’d quibble that 0.5 the majority of the time

I agree he’s mostly just taking up space and not doing anything with the ball but I also see the value in a CM who doesn’t make your whole team fall apart.

We’ve seen too many players, many more highly rated and expensive than Garner, fail to meet that minimum level for me to write him off as a complete nothing.

Hayden Hackney is linked with a £20m move to Ipswich BTW.
