Everton v West Ham
Re: Everton v West Ham
I'm in false 9 territory against low blocks. Beto ia just a passenger in this systen, totally disassociated from the rest of team.
Ndiaye
Grealish KDH Dibs
Just keep our shape behind them and rotate these 4 and let them play. It needs to be an option, beyond sub a lump for a lump.

One simple thing that could help would be KDH and Ndiaye swapping spots every so often. Give Ili some different looks. We can't let him lose confidence.blueToffee wrote: ↑Mon Sep 29, 2025 8:57 pm Missed a lot of the second half, but frustrating night it would seem. Needed the second goal clearly.
Ndiaye seems to be struggling a bit on the right side now after a bright start. I thought Dibling had a nice cameo though without being super productive but rode tackles well, drew people in and passed it on.
I hope we can get Merlin fit and see a bit more of him in the middle, as it feels like we're lacking there. Striker is continuing to be a headache no matter who is there.
Also, yeah get Charly out there to offer something different late in the game.
Re: Everton v West Ham
These are the second worst team in the league and they should have won there.
The worst team in the league beat us last week.

Noticeable how often Mykolenko started to look like he might overlap and Grealish didn't bother to play him in.Toddacelli wrote: ↑Mon Sep 29, 2025 8:59 pm I’m glad he stands near Grealish, because he’s the only player within a hundred yards of him he can pass to without breaking the move down and giving away possession.

Re: Everton v West Ham
So we all saw a few of our players have stinkers in the same match. A bad recipe when you’re a lower table side to begin with - but can we talk about the attitude?
Against Wolves they were clearly there to be had. Looked beat, tails between their legs, everything.
Then today we had periods again where we should have pressed but didn’t, should have competed but didn’t, and a few players looked off it by miles.
I don’t know why we aren’t more aggressive in games. I don’t know why we don’t bully teams when they look on their arse. Unless we can develop a nasty streak sometime very soon, these games that should be put to bed are just going to keep getting away from us.

We just need to play Barry for 90 and give him 4 or 5 games. This week in week out change isn't working for him or Beto. We know what Beto can and cant do, we don't with Barry
Re: Everton v West Ham
Lose against palace and TFG are going to start looking at Moyes. I’m not knee jerking yet - but the owners have form for it
Re: Everton v West Ham
I agree with that
Many years ago when I played up front, I hated only getting a half. Let alone a bit part.
In that area of the pitch you need time to figure out your chess moves against defenders.

That's just the early league table, they're not the second worst team in all likelihood. Potter just had them playing like it for a bit.

Aside from some mild Jack Grealish related peril I thought Kyle Walker-Peters looked like he would have been a half decent signing for us if we could have pulled it off!
The Full Back situation needs addressing badly

We've got Ndiaye and Grealish and yet KDH is our number 10.
Can't be right that. He'll probably go with Jimmy Garner there for the Palace match
