Re: Today's Football 2023-24
Romario coming out of retirement to play football at the age of 58 albeit for a few games. I suppose it’s possible when you are that club’s president haha.

City-Madrid, but with the option to switch if the other game becomes more interesting.
I think both English clubs will go through. I think Arsenal will step up tonight.

I don't fancy Arsenal at all. If you can't beat this Bayern side at home then don't see how they're going to have much hope here, especially with the weekend and even how they go on in Porto last round. Bayern win in the 90 minutes for me.
Man City v Real Madrid just could be absolutely anything. Could easily see it going to extra time (and hope it does!)

I think Arsenal being away does them a favour. I don't think they handle pressure well, and now the pressure is more on Bayern given their league season and being at home.Shogun wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 6:41 pm I don't fancy Arsenal at all. I think City beat Madrid with something to spare.
Re: Today's Football 2023-24
I just think they were absolutely cruising through matches with ridiculous low xG against them and Gabriel/Saliba looking unbeatable but the two they conceded at the Emirates against Bayern and then Aston Villa, the lack of a dependable goalscorer in the team, Harry Kane and the pace of Bayern's wingers against the fullbacks will see them wilt tonight. You know I'm no fan of Tommy Tuchel, so would not care if Bayern went out either.Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 6:45 pm I think Arsenal being away does them a favour. I know City battered them last year but Real Madrid are a much better side this season than they were last year, I'm not expecting another 3-0/4-0 City win. They might still win in the 90 like but just think Real Madrid have the individuals to keep it closer this time. Fancy a big night from Bellingham.
Looking forward to it either way. All the QF matches have been a great watch and when they're over, it means we're another day closer to having to think about watching Chris Wood put us to the sword on Sunday.

Don’t care who wins, just enjoying the games. These CL quarter finals have been brilliant so far and such a welcome break from our own “difficulties”.

Foden anonymous so far, similar to last week.
Tell you what though, for all of the criticism of Carlo’s “Just play” style - Madrid have a clear gameplay here and it’s working
