Part of me wonders if Friedkin is advising on some of these PSR blags we've become involved in.

He's already put £200m in, if that Independent article is accurate. And given his experience of Serie A, I just wonder if he's using his experience of the rules to find ways around our problems. I imagine he would've had some input on the Branthwaite situation as well.

It just seems like quite a Machiavellian series of actions, and I'd be surprised if Thelwell was doing all of this off his own back.

It's definitely a level of astuteness and competence that has eluded us for the entirety of Moshiri's reign.

It would be an incredible coincidence if he's just learned how to do his job a few weeks before he leaves.

I'm suprised no one has picked up on it before now.

And the apparent collusion components are a bit hard to swallow as unintended consequences, even if PSR is a crappy system.

I think he was lucky to get the chances he did last season. He was injured for three months also in the last part of the season.

I think he’s a good player and can develop further but it’s no real loss at this point.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see him become a premier league player in the future but I don’t think we’ve dropped the ball here.

More links with Iliman Ndiaye who we were interested in when he was at Sheff Utd, before he joined Marseille last season.

A Marseille journalist saying Ndiaye has been house-hunting around Merseyside for the past week or so.

Assuming it didn’t work out at Marseille but he’s so good imo

Yeah I was listening to the American Toffee Podcast, and the guy on there who is a professional scout said they played him on the wing a lot at Marseille but really he's an AM or second striker. He also really loves him and thinks he would be excellent for us.

I've no idea how to pronounce his name so in my head call him Minty but like Johnny Vegas saying Monkey if that makes sense to anyone old enough to remember the PG Tips adverts.

I wonder if Thelwell and Dyche have played the old “oh I don’t have much money / this is all I have” card to the media like you do at the market. But in reality, we do have a bit to play with?

Just don’t get the sense in this transfer window that we are struggling like we were in the last few windows.
