That's an absolute disaster from a manager hailed for his tactics and a tournament specialist. You know you've fucked up when you bring Burn on to see out the game and end up having to throw him up front as a striker.

Worse than anything Southgate has ever done this.

There was no need to do what he did.

We weren’t under pressure. The game was there to be killed.

End the World Cup lumping the ball up to Dan Burn.

Pathetic.

Let's be honest, there was no chance Anthony fucking Gordon was putting England into a final

They created 0.03 xG in the first half so what do we do, a 50min low block.

No need for that at all.

Gutted by what that became.

If you were being kind I guess you could say it almost worked, and I think because we got away with it against Mexico and Norway we tried it again.

Feels so much on Tuchel though to make those choices, we seemed to have no outlet after Gordon went off and went further and further back.

It was an even game until we scored and then we just decided to give them the ball...and fucked it up.

Argentina deserved winners. Tuchel pretty much played the same with Chelsea against city, but unlike city Argentina has players who could head the ball well. Could/Should have easily scored 2-3 more goals.

Some shite on the pitch at the end there. Wouldn’t play half of these mopes in a pre-season friendly.

Tuchel had an absolute fucking mare. I've been so impressed by him this world cup, but the backs to the walk defensive tactics so early on were criminal, the refusal to change it when it was immediately apparent he'd made a fuck up was indefensible.

The commentators kept going on about Messi, but there only one man who decided that result and it was the England manager.

I'm fucking fuming here!!!

Didn't trust the team at all Tuchel throughout the tournament. They were a better side than the tactics he put out there. Setting up to grind out a result when we had been the better side first half was ridiculous

Bottled it. Was a crap game but we were comfortably the better team until we scored. Didnt see Argentina scoring. Then we get deeper and deeper give up the ball and territory and just invite them to take control

Switch to wing backs killed us straight away as they always had 2 on 1 on both sides then, just no need
