Danny Rohl
Saved a shit Wednesday team from certain relegation and now has them pushing the playoffs with pretty limited budget

Re: Dyche
What he has done at Wednesday is remarkable considering he wasn’t allowed to buy any new players could be like klopp for us if we get him in sorry for the shite reference

Re: Dyche
He sounds like a good candidate, I admit I've seen nothing of Sheffield Wednesday of late though so can't really comment.
However, and maybe I'm doing them a disservice, but I'd be surprised if our new owners would go for this sort of candidate.

Re: Dyche
They have raneiri in at Roma doing ok but third coach of the season so we can’t afford to make a mistake with this appointment
Re: Dyche
I don't know a lot about Rohl but probably too much of a risk right now, maybe someone to look at if we were shopping in the summer. Right now we can't afford a fuck up, teams who appoint 3 managers in a season tend to go down, so we need someone who is at the very least not going to be all style over substance at this level and have some sort of guarantee of it working out.
We can't be idealistic with this appointment, it has to be right and it has to be right for where we are right now as well as the future.

Re: Dyche
Are we even pulling the trigger?
I don’t think we’re getting our long-term manager if we switch now given the circumstances so Thelwell has to be involved. He’s responsible for many of the players in this squad, he should have the most insight into what kind of tactical approaches they’re suited for. If we get a bad mismatch of playing styles and managerial preferences, we’re probably down.
Deal through the end of next season since we’re probably not tempting anyone with any sort of quality on a til-the-end-of-the-season contract. Reassess towards the end of the season with the option to blow it all up entirely and start anew (including replacing Thelwell) for the summer. Maybe we have to eat a bunch of money to do this but can’t see this ownership group being cheapskates given how heavily they’ve bought in.

Re: Dyche
Lack of rumours suggest we haven't approached possible replacements that are in work at the moment.
Feels like the same old approach to things to me.
Wouldn't be surprised if we let him go and the first question at the board meeting that evening will be, "Well, any suggestions."
