Re: Dyche - HE'S GONE
Dyche did an admirable job in the last two seasons given the mess he had to pick up from Lampard who previously had to pick up the mess from Benitez plus all the financial restrictions.
But this season has been so weird and so disappointing how he’s performed and how he’s approached most games. It could be a combination of:
- The very long transition from Moshiri to TFG
- Dyche’s contract running out at the end of the season and no talk of a contract extension.
- The Bournemouth and Villa games which left him petrified of encouraging players to play forwards.
Still no excuse for the lack of wins this season but now the club can move forward - figuratively and literally.

That’s a brilliant article, delighted to see Friedkin playing hard ball with him !

Re: Dyche - HE'S GONE
It really did seem to me like he was trying to get fired (given the idiotic contract we signed), looks like TFG took it the same way and refused to be marks. Does send a huge signal, no rolling over and tickling our belly any longer.

Re: Dyche - HE'S GONE
The idiotic contract we signed isn't actually a real thing. It's a rumour which makes zero sense and has been denied by dyche himself. He doesn't get more money for being sacked. No one gets more money for being sackedEvertonian in NC wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 7:05 pm It really did seem to me like he was trying to get fired (given the idiotic contract we signed), looks like TFG took it the same way and refused to be marks. What’s this bonus that everyone is quoting then?777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 7:10 pm The idiotic contract we signed isn't actually a real thing. He’s missed out on it because he had his bluff called but everyone is mentioning his contract being paid up plus a bonus is what he was expecting.

Re: Dyche - HE'S GONE
It's not a bloody bonus for being sacked. No one gets a bonus for being sacked. He denied last week that he was on a sack bonus. How would you even negotiate such a thing. Extra if you're shite. It makes no sense.
Plus he's been sacked. If he's entitled to a sack bonus he'd have gotten it

Dude, read the articles.777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 7:26 pm It's not a bloody bonus for being sacked. No one gets a bonus for being sacked. He denied last week that he was on a sack bonus. How would you even negotiate such a thing. Extra if you're shite. It makes no sense.

He’s done himself out of what he was originally entitled to.
You seem to forget who was running us for the last seven years.
I could easily believe we were so desperate we put in a bonus like that.

Re: Dyche - HE'S GONE
So desperate here's an incentive to be shit. An incentive that's been reported nowhere and denied by dyche.
Surely it's much more likely a loyalty bonus or a bonus for keeping us up. Bonuses that actually exist in football

Andros Townsend
Former England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live
I think it's a major red flag for this ownership.
I think Evertonians over this past decade have had a maverick owner who made decisions on a whim, who ignored advice, didn't really think about the short-term plan or the long-term plan. And by the end of it, the fans were desperate to get him out.
You've got this new group coming in, there's all this positivity. Fans are saying they're going to get their club back and then they have a decision like this. Whether it's the right or wrong decision, it's three hours before kick-off in an FA Cup game. It's a man who has saved you from relegation the last two years - one with a points deduction, yet somehow managed to keep them up and this is how you treat him.
For me, right or wrong decision, it's major, major red flags long-term for this new ownership group.

Whenever I think of Andros Townsend I see him cringily belting out Stand By Me
Re: Dyche
There was no way back for him after that shambles, it was the absolute pits of a performance.
It's a a shame it's come to this, i am grateful to him for keeping us up after the mess lampard left us in and the points deduction last season.
However he's brought this on himself and he absolutely had to go
Re: Dyche - HE'S GONE
I hate that people keep mentioning last and the previous season. They are completely irrelevant, this season is what matters, there is and shouldn't be any sentiment. It does my head in. We owed him nothing. Fuck off Andros.

Re: Dyche - HE'S GONE
Think it matters when it's about respect. Absolutely deserves to be sacked but maybe not to be called a cunt or removed 3 hours before kick off
