Tuchel will do what he's been hired to do. Players love him at clubs and he's loyal to them. Wouldn't at all be surprised if Henderson, Walker and Toney are at the world cup.

He doesn't care about these matches, how they play or building for the future. Plenty of talent still and he will be trying to build up a certain mentality of arrogance and trust in the squad for 2026.

Shame for the much better and younger players but that is what the FA have decided and anything less than winning the world cup will be a failure and probably have put back the national team a couple of years.

That's Tuchel's style isn't it? None of his sides have ever been great to watch and he's always struggled in the league with his clubs really. Tournament football is where he's made his name and that's the only reason they've hired him.

Any chance of decent football, progressing youngsters, high scoring wins, etc. were never going to happen under him.

Also the reason he'll be gone after 2026 whatever happens. Not sure why they bothered hiring him this early tbh!

I won't be surprised if Tuchel drops Pickford from the first team. He's quite old school and I think will hate not having a massive keeper between the sticks. If Pickford makes a mistake then it'll almost definitely happen.

The fact Pickford's place is up for debate is just laughable, albeit this may be a tactic to spur the other two on. However I don't personally think he's got anything to worry in Henderson or Pope who are nowhere near as competent with their feet, Pope in particular looks very dodgy kicking anything. As for Trafford, yes he's young, but he's had one good season in the championship with an impeccable defense Infront of him for that league.

The European football shout is just ridiculous, if Tuchel just picks players playing in European competitions at club level then England won't make it past the group stage at the World Cup.
