He’s talking nonsense isn’t he.
Not Kramer, Ted Knutson.
Our midfield has been sound over the last few years.
Gana, Onana, Doucoure, mangala, garner.
It’s lacks creativity but it’s more than competitive. Onana, Doucoure and Gana all regularly towards the top of the tackles, interceptions and running stats.
It’s not a midfield that needs protected in the way it did when we had the likes of Gomes, Sigurdsson and Davies playing there all the time.
I do have some doubts about our midfield in a Moyes 451 though. He likes a hard working side but also technical midfielders. I struggle to pick players for the middle that would suit.
The deeper player is Mangala, that's pretty easy for me. I'd go Mangala here instead of Gueye because of Gueye's natural ball chasing.
But the two 8s, I dunno. Doucoure can't pass. Gueye can't pass or shoot. Armstrong very inexperienced. Garner injured.
I think we'll struggle in this area and our attacks/counter attacks will fail a lot without a new addition or something clever from Moyes.

Gueye absolutely can pass, feel like it's a weird thing people think about him.
I can pass twenty feet and further if needed. He's a professional and yet his passing is very careless at times. He's He been brilliant for us, but now loses possession more often because he's slowing. We've conceded alot because of him
Gana is a safe passer. Has his moments but generally reliable. Mangala is similar but gets his passing off at a quicker rate which helps us move up the pitch.

Think the club should have said some form of thanks right?
Yeah, I think so. Something clearly went down at the start of the week but the announcement was pretty brutal and regardless of what people think of him as a person he deserved better. A quick 'thanks for what you did' and 'good luck to the future' would have been decent.

That is just awful.
It's in response to people saying we need a ball player in CM... It's not necessarily how I'd set up, in fact I've mentioned many times I'd play 3-4-3 or 3-4-2-1.
If people want someone in central midfield to spray passes about that's about the only option we have. He has actually played there for Burnley before so it's not like he's never played CM.

We don't know what has gone on behind the scenes. The tone of the club's statement suggests that it was not particularly amicable though. The lack of the usual "the club would like to thank..." suggests that whatever has happened has been quite bitter, and to be honest, SD does come across as quite a prickly character at times.
From TFG's point of view, they had probably hoped to see out his contract to give them a.little time to assess their options, so they are probably starting a.little that their hand has been forced.
