Let's wait until we find out the extent of today's injuries and for the transfer window to close.

Be nice to beat Sean Dyche's Leicester before we fully knock it on the head.

Beat Leicester and we're safe. Would need 10 points at most from 15 matches.

Yep beat Leicester and we can close this thread. It’s a massive game for that reason alone, and then we can start looking up the table rather than down it.

2 sides at the bottom of the table now have to put 2/3 wins together, and I just don’t see that happening.

Don't look at our fixtures in April.

Seriously though, we've got some really tough games ahead, but we've got such a lead on the 4 below us that I think we're already good.

Yeah, there are some tough games coming up for sure. So getting points in the bag now is pretty huge.

That said, there is a decent likelihood we could be ok if we get another 10 points or so. I doubt Leicester and Ipswich get much higher than low/mid 30s. So looking a lot better.

The main question mark for me today is the injuries, those are two big players to be potentially sidelined for a while so would like to see us add some quality.

Anyhow, good day today.

Meh, I don't think we'll miss DCL (bloke scored 1 in his last 17) and Garner would be sufficient cover for Mangala.

Has the new Southampton guy even managed a point yet?

Hopefully so, depends how we setup. As long as we're not punting it to Beto the same as we've been to DCL then I'd agree we can work around it. We did get away with it a little today as it was clear we just couldn't hold it in their half after a while. That can't be the blueprint clearly, but maybe we work on working more to Beto's strengths if that's who we're going with.

We have enough in the squad to cover those injuries and we also have the transfer market to do a lot of business in the next week.

Think we might look to do a deal with Chelsea to replace Broja for a CM if Mangala is out for a while. And if Mangala is done for the season then he will also be heading back from his loan?

The sides at the bottom won’t be looking at us anymore as a relegation candidate after today. Although we will still feel we are right in the mix, the reality is that there is very little probability that they can catch us now. If Spurs lose tomorrow, if we are still considered a relegation candidate, then that means that they are also in the mix.

They have been doing better in fairness, in terms of being in games more and probably should've got that win at Man United. Just underlines how stupidly open they were before. Clearly they just lack some quality though so yeah overall they're toast but they probably knew that even when making the change.

He set the record last weekend for most consecutive league losses at the start of a permanent managerial reign at Soton and he extended it today. I think there is still scope to build on his lead too.

If they do lose at Ipswich next week, it's Bournemouth, Brighton, Liverpool, Chelsea the four games after that so it could get very bad...
In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.

Still absolutely distraught we lost to them.

Highly likely it will be their only win all season too.

Fucking Dyche 😡

Odds are it'll br the three promoted teams comfortably relegated for the second season runnung. Not a great look for the best league in the world and maybe a less talked about impact of FFP.

There was talk of ditching it for the promoted teams to give them more of a chance to compete!
