Re: Beto
But if they’re not playing Toure and see Beto as an upgrade - why would we do that deal?
All I know is they are both strikers tbh. Not really seen either of them play (I know what I said).

Yeah I think they're different players, and play in very different setups. El Bilal might find the draw of the Prem bigger and may be suited to our style.Toddacelli wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 10:08 am But if they’re not playing Toure and see Beto as an upgrade - why would we do that deal?

The other thing is it might be financially driven, record the sale now (if we've actially paid) and expense it over a longer period. Dunno.
I'm not advocating for it necessarily, as they've both played about as much as each other and I havent seen El Bilal play much.

Yes it doesn't reek of a part of a long term strategy driven by a director of football.Toddacelli wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 10:08 am But if they’re not playing Toure and see Beto as an upgrade - why would we do that deal?

Re: Beto
Sounds like Toure has more about him in terms of hold up play and might even be a bit better in the air.
They’re a lot better with the ball than us, could offer better supply to someone who’s at his best running in behind the defense.
Could be mutually beneficial. I’m intrigued.
