I like the stadium but I do think they went way too conservative on the capacity. Difficult to get a ticket for Goodison these days.

Signed, sealed, done!

And with the Labone and Dean ends finalised, now for our next problem that needs a solution.

Depends what the prices are, but yes agree, even to accommodate more casual/travelling fans.

Can we take the glass out and extend the ends?

It does remind me of the interior of Parramatta Stadium (which I'm sure everyone is familiar with) only larger. Great place to watch a game, and it doesn't take a big crowd to get the noise going, I'm sure it will be deafening.

Is there provision to increase capacity at the new stadium?

Yes, The stadium is 'future-proofed' to enable the introduction of safe-standing which, should Government legislation change on the ratio of one person standing to one seat, could allow the Club to increase the capacity further.

IIRC, Meis said specifically that the only way of expanding was through safe standing. That can bring the capacity up to 62k

This is the last I can find, could yet change until they commit to the final plans for Goodison.

I HAVE A STONE AT GOODISON PARK WHICH FORMS PART OF THE GOODISON GRANITES FEATURE. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THIS?
The Goodison Granites will remain in place at Goodison Park. While the stadium will be deconstructed and the site developed as part of the Goodison Legacy Project, the granites will form part of a permanent tribute to the stadium’s legacy and the fans who support the Club.

Thanks Trowel, I really hope they don't move them. Lots of human history in those messages.

Indeed. Under lights, it looks like a cgi mock up, like you see early on in the design phase.
