We'd just fire it at his head with nobody near him and complain he wasn't scoring.

Tidy player but would be hounded by our fans immediately.

I like zirkzee but he's the opposite of what we need imo

He likes to show feet and come short
He'd end up in congested spaces where we want Grealish and ndiaye to be

He needs pace around him

Unless you played him as the ten with a totally free role and we know Moyes won't do that

So it's a no for me

Not a striker and not what we need. Reminds me of Berbatov sometimes but not near as good and he's not much of a goalscorer either.

Agree with the last three posts, and this makes me even more certain that we’ll bring him in and that both him and Barry won’t succeed here

What profile of player would work? What does Moyes want from a striker? Is it just Dom but add in the ability to finish?

A finisher, we're passing our way up the pitch into wide areas much more and I think someone who has great movement over 5 yards, can make quick runs round corners and in the channels and be first to things in the 6 yard box to test the keeper.

After 15 years of 6ft 2in + strikers, I hate to use the cliche but a bit of a fox in tbe box. Frannie Jeffers circa 2000.

In retrospect we should have spent the extra money on Woltemade and forgot about Dibling and Barry.

Think the big German was being quoted for €50-60m when we were initially linked

Yeah definitely, if we ignore that he would never have signed for us then its a good point.

Might have if we got it done early. Newcastle wasn't linked to him for another month or so after us.

We were linked in January I think which is when we might have had 1/4 of a chance but obviously not the cash... By the time the summer came round we were never ever going to be in with any sort of chance
