Re: Kenny Tete
Isn’t a verbal agreement somewhat legally binding? I also don’t see how his agent didn’t tell them what we’d offered to see if they’d go higher. Reckon it’s clickbait

Re: Kenny Tete
I'd like to get him because he seems like a good solution, but I'm not gonna be devoed if we don't.
Re: Kenny Tete
1) His agent has given Fulham the nod to offer a new contract suggesting that Tete will accept it.
2) Fulham thought he'd have a look around and eventually accept their initial offer. They've seen the Everton agreement and thrown in a last Hail Mary.
Hopefully it's the second scenario

Re: Kenny Tete
We can't compete with a rooftop pool in a stand that took longer to build than than the whole of BMD..
Re: Kenny Tete
To be fair he's already half way up that ladder in reaching the pool.
And unfortunately we've been glued, stuck just above the bottom three rungs for far too long.
Re: Kenny Tete
Injury record isn't great, I won't be massively disappointed if it doesn't happen. Looks a good player but I think Moyes goes with O'Brien as first choice regardless, so we look for another cheap temporary backup.

Everton plan to derail Kenny Tete’s new contract with Fulham
Tete is out of contract at Fulham but the Cottagers had been confident of a new deal until Everton swooped
Everton are looking to derail Kenny Tete's contract renegotiation with Fulham, after offering a three-year contract.
The respected Dutch right-back’s current deal runs out at the end of June, meaning he could move on a free transfer, but the Craven Cottage hierarchy have been confident of a new agreement.
Everton are currently attempting to change that, as they proactively push for Tete. The 29-year-old has a three-year offer from Everton on the table improved terms.
He joined Fulham back in 2020 from French side Lyon and has made almost 120 appearances for the London side since. He played 22 times for the Cottagers in the season just gone as they finished 11th in the Premier League.
Tete made his debut for the Netherlands as a 20-year-old back in 2015 and has won 14 caps in total, although he hasn’t pulled on the orange jersey since 2021.
Everton are in the market for a right-back with both Seamus Coleman and Nathan Patterson seemingly constantly battling injury. Coleman also turns 37 in October and it’s not clear how much time he has left at the top level.

Re: Kenny Tete
Hey Miguel Delaney, chief football writer for the independent: How do Everton plan to derail it? What do you know is happening, and how do you know it is? Is this Everton coming back in again after Fulham have re-entered negotiations, since Everton's initial verbal agreement with the player?
Or is this just a news story delayed by 4 days?
We want to know.

Odd that Miguel's heading was pretty much all he had.

Re: Kenny Tete
If I was Tete, I'd think hard about signing for a club that was prepared to let me go, then changed their mind when a bigger club offered me a 3 year deal with improved terms.... I think he's coming
Re: Kenny Tete
The London pull is a factor, he's there already, could have family roots there now, who knows.

Re: Kenny Tete
Apart from they’ve finished above us the last three seasons, why would he want to drop down the league?Paddockoldie wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 4:16 am If I was Tete, I'd think hard about signing for a club that was prepared to let me go, then changed their mind when a bigger club offered me a 3 year deal with improved terms....
