Everton v Burnley
Re: Everton v Burnley
It’s the business end of the season.
We have put ourselves in a decent position (yet again) to push on towards Europe. Brentford at Bournemouth and Chelsea at Villa means we can make good progress.
Every time we have had some progress in our sights, we have failed to capitalise so just hoping this game is 4th/5th time lucky

Feel like this is a bigger game than I expected it to be at this stage of the season. A win makes a huge difference to us tonight just to shake the home hoodoo

We are now on 40 points, it'll be like watching Brazil 1970 from now on.

Re: Everton v Burnley
Put my ticket on re sale a week ago, it’s still not sold, first time ever not sold with a weeks notice.
Re: Everton v Burnley
Same here, both mine and my son's are unsold - I thought maybe the Newcastle result would prompt some more people to go but it'll be interesting to see the attendance tonight.
Re: Everton v Burnley
Yeah but thing is your seat is considered part of the attendance whether it’s occupied or not, it considered sold. (I think ?)
Re: Everton v Burnley
At least we're getting an early answer to the "Shouldn't we have built a 60k+ stadium" question
Re: Everton v Burnley
I think it is, but I'm thinking of the actual attendance rather than the reported one. Should be pretty clear if there's lots of empty seats.

Re: Everton v Burnley
Be half empty tonight probably.
Maybe the sun being out will mean some walk ups

Re: Everton v Burnley
Let's all enjoy the fact that the last time we faced Burnley at this stage of the season it was essentially deciding which of us was favourite for the drop... And we lost.
So whatever happens tonight it's a fucking massive difference to where we were then, and that's something to be very grateful for

Re: Everton v Burnley
I’ll start, I have just prepped my ingredients ready for cooking a cod curry, hope to be sat down eating for 18:30, so I’m done and ready for the build up from 19:00, whilst the wife does the dishes. Unfortunately I’ll be watching the game with tea or water, laying off the beer…….Toddacelli wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2026 12:39 pm I will ‘observe’ by reading this matchday thread.
