Re: Yankuba Minteh
i am conflicted on the thought of transfers between roma and evertonCozzie wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2024 11:02 am I'm fairly confident we will replace DCL.
Tammy Abraham is the obvious choice given our new connections with Roma and him reportedly wanting to come back to the PL.
Or the guy from Luton, won't cost much.
In relation to Minteh, I'm very surprised the shite aren't linked with him given Slot managed him at Feyenoord last season.
sure maybe some loan deals could benifit both clubs but the thought of one club getting shafted to benifit the other doesnt sound right to me
we had it with peter johnson who was hiring 160 fork lift trucks that was located at park hampers yet paid for by everton (i worked at a forklift truck supplier and processed the the invoices) and then we paid a transfer record fee for a goalkeeper from tranmere who he also owned, granted thats some extreme shit with the fork lifts but would you be happy as a roma fan if everton start buying ur best players and you become the junior partner or for instance roma qualify for the champs league and then we loan branthwaite to them to help them push in the champs league etc at the detriment to us
maybe am too cynical

Re: Yankuba Minteh
Sounds like they don't wanna pay what we want for DCL, and as such we wouldn't be able to afford Minteh to go the other way.
Re: Yankuba Minteh
Funny you should mention that....sam of the south wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2024 5:19 pm I really want this one, a bit like the Gnonto one last summer

I wouldn't say this one is totally 100% dead in the water but it obviously looks less likely now of course.

Re: Yankuba Minteh
I mean, a proper look at DCL would reveal he works his tits off, insanely athletic, great in the air, 26, made of glass, £100k pw, last year of contract, £30m, you say? Oh.
Re: Yankuba Minteh
Surprised at that fee, French clubs other than PSG don't normally spend that much on players.
Re: Yankuba Minteh
It's be something like double Lyon's transfer record, and their revenue certainly hasn't increased in any way to justify it.
If the lad was that good for Feyenoord, I'd fully expect Slot to want to take him across the park.
