That is still very possible as it’s hard to see spurs and United being as bad as they are, but the teams above us are always susceptible to a drop though.
They all look like good teams with good managers though which is a concern but some of them will drop hopefully.
Surely no chance spurs or United are anywhere near this again.
And then outside of that who do we for sure feel we leapfrog? That's for @Bluedylan1 also. Who are we definitely in a better position than? Even wolves have leapfrogged us, Moyes or no.
Can't imagine west ham will be comfortable with their position either.
As far as I am concerned until I see the window, we're next fave outside the promoted teams.
I think you can't put a value on the possible positive effect of Bramley Moore. I think it might be a game changer for us in terms of what we can achieve. There is an excitement around a new season at a new ground that could kick us on.
There's a chance we have a good season and finish 11th or 12th but like brap says above we've currently no real right to expect to finish above any individual team other than the 3 that are promoted
The odds apparently have us less likely than Fulham Brentford and palace. They have wolves as twice as likely to be relegated. Them odds seem way out to me
I also think, while it is possible they all go down, Leeds, Burnley and whoever wins the playoffs will surely be more competitive and pick up more points than Soton, Ipswich and Leicester. I feel those have been a new low.
In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.

I think combined, they've officially been the worst bottom three, statistically, in prem history.
When Luton only got 26 last year in 18th I thought that would likely never be beaten but I reckon Ipswich will get less this season.
Moyes will always be a "get to 40 points and then see where we are" manager. Don't let him tell you any different.
And, to be honest, 40 points by Easter would have me made up. I posted the odds before and had a jokey little pop at @777Kidnappings , but I was surprised at them. A lot of those teams are better than us and will be aiming to improve just as much as we are in the summer

Last summer loads were saying this season's promoted clubs would be much better than the previous three, but it's just the pattern now imo unless someone's willing to break PSR like Forest did. All will struggle badly to compete otherwise and probably still even if they did over spend.

I'd be pretty confident Leeds get more points than any of these three. That's not a huge shout in fairness.

Isnt the rumour that they are going to sack him?
Yeah but unless it happens I'm basing things on him being in charge next season. The rumours don't seem to have come to anything so fully expecting him to be there first game of the season.
This seasons 3 relegated teams are the worst in PL history and won’t be beaten for a very very long time.
All 3 were so weak from both an attack and defensive standpoint, and never looked like staying up. For all 3 teams to be so weak is a massive rarity. Usually it’s just one team that never looks like staying up.
The 3 coming up this year will be better, that’s just a fact. However, it doesn’t mean that we also can’t be better. It’s a big moment for the club in the short term (transfer window) and long term (stadium). We need to make it count and move forwards.

"We barely escaped relegation this year and the 3 coming up are well better than the three going down": All Evertonians every May for what feels like an eternity

Literally what was said towards the end of last season too... In reality we shouldn't be worrying about promoted teams any more providing we get the recruitment right in the summer anyway.
