Financial Fairplay Investigation - 2025 Nobody in Breach
Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Deducted 10 points
They’re running scared.
Can’t handle dyche ball marching up the league.

So, far from getting our ten point penalty reduced we are more likely to get a further reduction, if that’s the case we are 100% relegated.

How can the cheating corrupt bustards demand accounts to be submitted within a calendar year YET every financial business institution
Submits to the financial fiscal year?
Why aren’t the legal eagles challenging these corrupt bustards who see PL to be making it up to suit themselves

Hopefully the Prem are mismanaging ''regulation'' (and I use the term loosely) of this completely skewed, perverse system so badly that FFP/P&S will ultimately collapse.
Obviously it's important for clubs to be sustainable and run properly, but we know this has absolutely nothing to do with that.

Not to piss on your chips but the Premier League seasons don’t run April to April4evablu wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 10:06 pm How can the cheating corrupt bustards demand accounts to be submitted within a calendar year YET every financial business institution

They’ve given months since last season finished for clubs to get accounts for that season sorted

Don't tell me your fiscal year is not 1 July to 30 June?Cereal Killer wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 10:15 pm Not to piss on your chips but the Premier League seasons don’t run April to April

Madness.
There's so much triple jeopardy, entrapment, dodgy rules, regs and punishments formulated on the fly and implemented ad hoc,
It'd be embarrassing running a small business implementing this sort of stuff, let alone the planet's premier football competition. Absolutely disgraceful.
The problem is it seems on the surface at least, so obviously unfair (not just to Everton, but 13 others) that it's very surprising there isn't such an easy legal case to answer and overturn most of this. Suggests there's more to it than that.

Possibly it'll hit the rocks once Man City have their way with them in whatever court they pull them through.
Either that or the government launch their independent panel, but the panel have no teeth for breaches like this so all the charges will be wrapped up into a financial slap on the wrist.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Deducted 10 points
It would of course be insane though for us to be charged with a breach of the same rolling period though because basically once you have one breach you'd be docked points for the same offence 3 times?!
That said, I'd not put it past them to dock us again, as they clearly have their agenda.
In a world where Forest were also docked you'd be looking at:
Burnley 11
Forest 10
Sheffield Utd 9
Everton 6
We'd have to chase down Burnley and Forest to stay up. IF Forest weren't docked we'd be completely toast.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Deducted 10 points
I can’t believe that we would be over FFP for these accounts. Seems all media/press scaremongering on our part. Could/might/maybe etc etc.
Surely we would have been over by miles more in the previous 3 cumulative years for us to be over again in this set, as we have certainly had much more financial prudence in the last financial year and have had sales of a lot of assets to balance the books.
The only hiccup might be the stadium as I have no idea how that is represented in the P&L.
Forest look like they are in trouble though. And that would be fast tracked for this current season. Not sure why they could take legal action and we couldn’t?

Difference between us and forest is we admitted guilt, they are contesting it.Gary1878 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 7:44 am I can’t believe that we would be over FFP for these accounts. Seems all media/press scaremongering on our part. Could/might/maybe etc etc.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Deducted 10 points
According to transfermarkt, their net spend in 2022/23 was -£190m and this season it is -£52m.
Surely they have breached FFP. How can they get away with it with that much of an overspend? Even if you assume that revenue jumps by £100m or so by being in the PL, that spend doesn’t even include wages.
And they have a reduced FFP limit by being in the Championship so the limit is only £61m or so for 3 years.
There is a real danger that they have busted right through those limits by some margin unless I am missing something.

The reports on City is that they have agreed a date with them for their case... why would they have to agree a date

P&S limits £105m over 3 years, adjusted to about £83m if 1 year is in the champGary1878 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 8:56 am According to transfermarkt, their net spend in 2022/23 was -£190m and this season it is -£52m.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Deducted 10 points
Chelsea sold players before the end of the FY, and bought players after. They're owners have also hinted they'll fight any punishment as actions of the previous regime which they had no control over, so wouldn't be fair to punish them.brap2 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 10:00 am P&S limits £105m over 3 years, adjusted to about £83m if 1 year is in the champ

Yep, they've apparently agreed (with who I have no idea) to not be "investigated" until the end of 2025, conveniently when Peps contract runs out, meaning at least another year of success.777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 9:23 am The reports on City is that they have agreed a date with them for their case... why would they have to agree a date
City and Chelsea will simply keep kicking the can down the road until they reform the rules.
