David Moyes
Re: David Moyes - Confirmed
More strings to his bow than Dyche is a good way of describing it, think it was this thread someone said it in.
I do feel quite calm about us staying up this year. Certainly more so than I did for the last 3 seasons.
Feels like we've turned a corner off the pitch, new owners, new stadium, a far better manager in place. I trust us to get a couple of players in this window and start to push on.
An attacker, a midfielder, a fullback. McNeil and Garner to come back.
Ipswich and Leicester are shite. Wolves looked cooked again.
Once we find a way to win against the weaker sides, we've seen this with Moyes before, he'll have us well coached to continue to do it.

Re: David Moyes - Confirmed
I think again this season we are lucky in that there are 3/4 worse sides than us, even though once again we inspire little confidence.
It’s actually difficult to imagine sides worse than us given that we don’t score goals, however the difference is that we can stay in a game longer than the other sides, and are more robust. Hopefully Moyes over the next few weeks can get some attacking patterns going that will yield some wins and get us safe.

There’d be petitions, calls to replay the game, and minor celebs offering straighteners to the offending defenders

Sort of. We just went for it a bit. Nearly paid off too, but Dom skied a sitter.

Re: David Moyes - Confirmed
Seems the rumours of Charlie Adam coming in as set piece coach are true then.

Nice bright press conference that.
Nice to hear that the club are looking to sign players that can help us this season, but can also develop in the future.
Hopefully that means Willian and that kind of deal is off the table.

I don't think cos someone's got a peach of a left foot means they are a set piece expert.
Set piece coaching is more about creative ideas, combinations and arrangements of players, probabilities of where the 2nd ball will most likely go etc. It's a specialist role.

Baines: if we get a free kick near the edge of the box curl it into the corner. If it’s a bit further out twat it with the outside of the boot so it curls into the corner

A sound idea in practice, unfortunately you need a wand of a left peg like the man himself to do it
