Financial Fairplay Investigation - 2025 Nobody in Breach
Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation
It's becoming more and more a closed shop at the top that I just can't be arsed with tbh.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation
Corrupt cunts, can't believe they think we're the test case again and should roll over while City and Chelsea string them along with no sanctions at all. We need to get even more behind the lads now. Think this will unite the fans and create a siege mentality and that will be enough.
Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation
You know what though - if that’s now the worst penalty we can have, at least we know it can only be better from here with an appeal.
We should stay up anyway, and have plenty of games and time to stay up.
Use this as ammunition and ambition to keep playing well and win games.
They can push us but they won’t keep us down.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation
Worse case scenario is this 10 points then. Are we the first club to ever get a points deduction in this league?
The good thing is I'm looking at the table and still not really worried about relegation. Thank fuck it came this season.

The fight is on... motivated by the injustice this is compared to what other clubs have done.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation
The only fair punishment for City (to even the playing field) would be to dismantle the club. There's no reversing the benefits city's cheating has given them. Even if they are relegated theyd be in Europe the following season and the champions league the year after. You can't undo what City have done
Now I don't care. Think ffp is unfair anyway but if you cheat enough it puts you beyond an adequate sanction
Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation
Boro and Portsmouth have had deductions, Boro 3 points for not fulfilling a fixture and Portsmouth 9 points for going into administration. Neither stayed up.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation
Hopefully we will stay up, but it's the principle of it.
Six clubs tried to actually blow up the entire football pyramid and not a thing happens. We go £20m over a completely arbitrary limit and they try to relegate us.
I hope we overturn the decision and then sue the cunts for damaging our business and our brand.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation
Yeah, it’s a joke. Niasse diving ban again, where almost nobody else gets punished and they forget about the whole thing or change the rules afterwards.
I was getting lulled into a false sense of security by the recent noise around it but really this is pattern for us, we’re big enough for them to point to and say they’re taking it seriously but we’ve got almost no clout in terms of media presence or pundits ready to cause a stink like the top clubs do so they know they can get away with whatever they want.
A huge uphill challenge again now, we’ve got a lot of tough fixtures to go and it’s going to at best go down to the wire again. They only small positive is that the teams around us haven’t been great but they’re not that terrible that such a huge deduction won’t severely risk our safety.
I don’t know if it also now leaves us open to law suits from the clubs that went down? Would just be icing on the cake.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation
If we had bust through FFP by £100m then I could understand. But £20m in football nowadays really isn’t a lot and comes down to a couple of transfer deals and things happening that are outside of the clubs control.
We know we have been managed very poorly from a financial standpoint and have made many mistakes. But it really is an extremely harsh sanction given all of the circumstances.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation
10 points is farcical, but nowhere near as farcical as it'll be when Chelsea and City only get a slap on the wrists.
Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation
Anyone know who it was the only time a club has survived premier League relegation after being on 4 points having played 12 games?
Sorry, the only *other* time.

It's 20m over 3 years. Really not sure how that can be 10pts if the maximum is 12. If we'd of spent another billion we'd only have lost 2 more points
Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation
Ah fair enough, even more ridiculous we've been given more points than Portsmouth were given!

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation
10 points is wild, man.
Yeah, we're in the wrong and deserve some sort of punishment. But this is ridiculous, especially when you look at others.
We can only hope it's reduced on appeal.
