Still say hello to his maternal Uncle when I see him, nice family. His dad was by far the best player I ever played with or against.

That irrelevance aside, I think his lad would bring some much needed pace as an option for us, still a decent age plus stops us spending on wingers and allows us to focus on other areas.

Plus he is Welsh. Always need a taff in a decent Everton side.
Born in Nottingham - his Welsh accent would be quite ‘unique’

How many teams essentially wipe off that amount of money after 6 months? I'm struggling to see what their motivation is to take a big hit, other than the ridiculous wages for someone of his ability - which we will now pick up!!
He must have a stinking attitude and be a bit of a prick - only thing I can think
Hard to know, maybe the formation didn't suit with it being a 3-4-2-1.

Maybe just a bad fit in other ways?

Obviously it's a gamble, but Moyes is always have a good track record with reclamation projects for us, so maybe this one will be another to add to the list.

Yeah, his Mum Alison is Welsh. His Dad could have played for Wales too actualluy, being Jamaican born but moved to the uk as a nipper. Brennan must have been born when his dad was playing for forest I guess.

Yeah I remember his old man playing and the FAW did try to get him to play for them at one point

These days it's not unusual to see players in their mid-twenties who've lost all interest in their career. Probably due to the money in many cases. Without any evidence I get those vibes from Johnson.

Well, nothing better to resurrect a career than playing for Dour Dave and his brand of anti football - match made in heaven

If he's an upgrade on MC Neil then it's hard to argue with it I suppose. These signings all full under pragmatic rather than exciting but suppose that's not necessarily a bad thing

He's an actual right footed right winger.

The amount of times we used Mr left foot McNeil on the right was killing me last season.

Gives us balance at least.

Palace are in the shit financially. Only one incoming transfer so far and he was a free.

Stems from them buying Strand Larsen with the intention of selling Mateta to Milan on deadline day, only for the medical to reveal his knees are made of cheese. He’s gone from an asset to essentially worthless.

Leaves a shortfall in actual cash and PSR wiggle-room.

Yeah my fave thing is how much he wants the ball ahead of him.

Our side even last year with Grealish was full of people who ideally want the ball to feet, McNeil, KDH, Ili, Dibling, Grealish, Charly. Everyone wants it to feet.

Someone like Johnson wants to run behind, get a fullback or cb turned and chasing him and bury it.

Actually love players like that and think they’re important in any side. Walcott comparisons accurate imo.

Make this deal. We’ll want to move on in a year or two but right now the aspirations appear to be don’t get much worse on the cheap, and this would definitely help.

Walcott was pretty rubbish but he made us such a better team with his movement and constantly looking to get in behind.

Too many times last season we would hit a team on the counter only for our wide players to be static wanting the ball to feet.

Desperately need a player like this and to get him in whilst unloading an awful player in McNeil is lovely business.

Yep, I can imagine the likes of KDH and Hackney will love having this guy running in behind.

Going to give us something we've not had for a while now, just hope it works out.
