Nah I still think it's a foul personally... However I also don't think it's something VAR should be getting involved in. Ref let play continue and that should have been the end of it.Stumpy wrote: ↑Sun Aug 31, 2025 2:13 pm it's a contact sport, that's not a foul, he's trod on his foot after moving the ball on it hasn't made any difference to what followed.
Nobody reacted or appealed as it was happening, but them var clowns just can't help themselves getting involved and re-reffing the games.
I'm with mig, that's one of the worst i've ever seen
Rightly so he's been stood down from whatever game he was supposed to do today after his bosses admitted he'd make an error.
What i don't understand is why the on field ref hasn't been reprimanded as well after all he went to pitch side screen and in the end he made the decision, he could have seen sense and said no nothing there and given the goal, but no had to back his idiot mate up
Sending refs to the screen to watch slow mo replays whilst being told why they should change their decision isn't at all how things should work.
Clear and obvious mistake? No, even if I think fucking up a Maradona turn and standing on someone's foot is technically a foul. It's not enough of a foul to re-ref the game.

Liverpool ahead. Annoying, but it's honestly almost what Arsenal deserve.
Been frustrating from Arteta again.

He's produced a tremendous bit of skill and he's put his foot on top of the chelsea players foot, it's a contact sport, i fail to see how that can be a foul
We will just have to agree to disagree on that
As you say the problem is they are re reffing the game

Arsenal deserve to lose.
Arteta is the most negative manager to ever coach a team going for the league.

Arsenal deserve to lose this but I don’t think Liverpool deserve to win it
