We're going to have this guy, Ndaiye, Dibbling and possibly even Grealish by the end of the window... Add in the fact Gana is pretty decent dribbling out of tight spaces too we're going to be an absolute nightmare to get the ball off.

KDH definitely loves a quick turn and burst forward through the middle so it feels like whilst we maybe lack the pure creative passer we need there's going to be plenty of stuff we can still do to hurt teams, especially on the break.

Going to be pretty refreshing if we actually end up with a team where half the players get you on the edge of your seat every time they drop a shoulder and drive forward with purpose.

I think a lot of us are against the fee because it feels like Chelsea should take a bigger hit on a player who's not been a success there. It bothers us that the big teams seem to get to sign these players risk free

His hammys will go getting out of the car, you know it's nailed on 😆

All things aside I'm happy with this, a solid body.

One more CM and a RW before Roma and I'll be pleased.

Just don’t like how Chelsea can sign a player for £30m, hardly play them then get their money back.

Should be taking at least a 50% loss on that.
Agree but think unfortunately the fee represents more of our need for the player, than the player's true value to Chelsea.

Is increasing a players age the new mis-spelling of a players name? 🧐

In this current climate, that’s a ‘No-Brainer’!

Will surprise some folks. Definitely makes us better as a team. Definitely moves us up a spot in the league, compared to our spineless midfield without him.

So people on here gonna be delighted to be proved so wrong…

If you read the Chelsea forum they're all talking about how the cost barely covers his 'book valuation', and this seems to be a thing they really care about on there. It's very weird.

The seem to think selling a player who's barely paid should make them a profit not make them a loss or break even. Just goes to show how far the game has gone!

I don't even think he hasn't been a success at Chelsea. He was pivotal in their European campaign.

I just think when you have a midfield of Enzo-Lavia-Caicedo, it's almost impossible to dislodge them. Chelsea sign too many good players and some of them inevitably get moved on, and sometimes other clubs are the beneficiaries of that.

I also think he's a bit more than just a body and a solid addition. He has technical quality and a really good weight of pass. A good upgrade in centre mid should makes the whole team function better.

I'm fully on board with this. Feels like a very Moyes player. I think he will quickly become an important player for us.

Very good technically. An actual footballer and this is high up on my wish list for this summer.

I’ll be very delighted. Without seeing him turn out for us I think he does improve the team going forward but not by enough to justify £29m at this stage. I can see the reasoning that he’s more of a known quantity and will be more consistent than someone who’s very raw with perhaps a higher ceiling. The Aznou’s and Diblings need balancing out with more consistent players is the logic. I’d like us to target someone more solid defensively now in the middle to add balance as Gana can’t do everything.

This signing makes us more of a team. Bit of glue. Can see him wearing the arm band or effectively just by his presence, (when we lose focus second half). Fills some skill gaps and smarts in our middle. Solid 7/10 for me.

Just noticed we share the same birthday.

Last player I shared a birthday with was Joseph Yobo.
