Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
It's not the distance that's the issue it's the resources like police and medics etc.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
My lad works for united utilities next door and he says the next big job is making sure their site is secure as it's just wood between them currently. Also reckons the ground has had to have some extra evacuation measures as if his site goes up (high risk of methane explosion) it could take out a decent area

That place, and the stink from it, was the main reason I've been like warm about this location
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Went eo see the new stadium sunday morning. From last time i saw it without the roof etc....it now looks even bigger and longer.....
Was stood outside the wall taking it in and some bloke walked past and just said..."fkking beauty innit mate.." Just summed it up...
I was outside on the main road and saw people inside of the wall and just thought they were workers etc so never thought anything of it....I drove heading back home off towards town and there's a friggin car park there with blokes on the gate....where ye could park and have a walk around so missed the opportunity as she who must be obeyed wanted to get home !! (2.5 hour drive ahead of us..)
PS theres' no stink there at all

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
I tried to walk in the goods entrance gate back around August and some jobsworth wouldn't even let me a foot inside to get some photos. I'd be surprised even now if they were letting people take cars in and walk around seeing as it's still a fairly active building site and not been handed over yet. Health and safety and all that.

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
you cant go in and walk around.
The steward people on the gates usually allow people to step into the car park for photos but you cant drive in etc

Mister Drone says he's been told the handover to Everton will be 20th Dec, after which hopefully Everton pull out the stops with getting the shop and the South Stand bricks, etc. sorted asap, but likley still a good few months yet before they'll open the site to the general public.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Ye wondered what it was…wasn’t hundreds of people walking around but quite a few….
