Branthwaite has barely played this season so he is bound to be a bit rusty but I thought he looked pretty good all things considered (not ALL things considered as Bill Bailey would say, but most relevant things).

Bit of a mad one that, presumably just to have him in and around the squad? Surely England can't be that short of centre backs that they have to call someone up who's played about 2 games so far this season.

He better not get fucking injured playing for them.

It could just be that Carsley rates him as high as we do, and therefore one of the current best English centre backs.

Oh I get that but he's hardly played this season and just got back from injury. He'll get plenty England caps, no need to rush him into these games.

On the flip side, might do him good to get some minutes.

Doubt for England , not fit enough to travel with group to Greece, trained alone shouldn't been called up by either squads, should have been building up fitness with us.

Which probably explains why Dyche hasn't played him much since he came back, clearly not fully fit and needs to be used correctly to avoid further issues.

So naive. Its because him and Micheal Keane are having a passionate affair. You're such a dyche bot

Apparently it's a slight groin "niggle" that he picked up against West Ham. Seems a bit daft even releasing for international duty if that was the case.
