Finally - It’s Happening!

Post

I’m from the States. I’ve been an Everton fan since the early 1990s. I picked them randomly as all of my college buddies selected their team to follow; listening on Everton radio streams back then, following Blukipper, and that eventually led me to this site. I’m always reading the threads, laughing along, but very rarely chiming in. Thanks to NBC/Peacock coverage the last decade or so it has made it easier to watch every game,

Which leads me to the real story. My son is studying in London this Fall as part of a college program and we are going to see him late November/early December. I looked at the schedule and there were some midweek games on the docket. I was hoping Everton was playing somewhere in London, but that wasn’t the case-either Bournemouth away or Newcastle at home. I wrote it off, not trying to push my agenda, but the missus has warmed up to a day trip to Liverpool and an Everton game for all 4 of us to boot! Newcastle on Nov 29.

It’s not the Old Lady (one year too late) but truly excited to visit the city, see the Hill Dickinson, hear the siren and Z Cars live, and take in the sights and sounds of the team I’ve watched hundreds of time on the TV!

I’m going to have a million questions so bear with me. I’m starting with the simplest one - tickets. The OS has hospitality ticket packages. Is that the safest bet these days given the digital only system now in place? I know I’m going to pay a bit more. The first offering is basically 4 tickets in block 302 - top upper corner. I know there is not a bad seat in the house. The next few packages include some food and drink in the Village Street which looks like a “club” area inside the stadium with tickets in Block 301.

Thanks for any thoughts and perspectives.

Firstly: Boss

Secondly: I'd guess Seat Unique would be the most cost effective/efficient https://www.seatunique.com/sport-ticket ... 8#eb6ccf0c

£607 for the 4 of you.

Obviously there are other hospitality options which are pricey. The most common way would be buying a membership and entering the ballot for 4 which would cost £240 for the memberships (£60 adult) and then obviously the tickets which I assume would be about £260, so a total of around £500 and even then you might not even successfully get tickets through the ballot and given you're only here for one game then that would be £240 wasted.

So yeah, Seat Unique sounds the most stress free option. Although Block 229 is above the away fans.

Good luck to your son in uni, and I hope you had a great time in Liverpool.

If our women's team are playing at home, you could still get to go to Goodison.

Amazing man. You basically should do Unique as Shogs said, it’s a once in a lifetime type deal for your and your family so a little extra won’t hurt, and you’re guaranteed your place together in the stadium.

We paid hundreds to go to the dolphins game when we were in Miami, and I don’t regret it one bit.

Hope we win and you have an amazing time bud.

Thanks for the ticket feedback. I've just noticed the Nov. 29 game is 5:30 local time when looking at those Hospitality tickets. When I was on EvertonFC app, it was saying 12:30 pm kickoff, which must have been my local time in the states. So, my follow up question is..How difficult will it be to get from Hill Dickinson to Lime Street Station to catch a train after the game?

I've been reading on here the last few months the challenges with crowds in/around the stadium, parking, walking, getting a cab, etc. Should we plan (and assume) the best way will be to walk the 2.5 miles!

Thanks again. I appreciate any perspectives!

I’d allow an hour if you’re walking, which I think is probably quickest as it’s jam packed, I’ve done it in 30 minutes on way to ground.
