Positive outlook for remainder of season

Post

Over the next month we should be getting Ndiaye, Gana, branthwaite and KDH back and with only 1 game a week they should all stay fresh so where could we potentially end up

For me top 8 is a definite and potentially higher

Yeah I think the vibes will pick up from Leeds onwards. People have been going cold on Gana buts he's still our best CM imo and we've missed him since he's been gone. Ndiaye just changes everything for us. If KDH can stay fit as well then we should have a decent final few months to the season.

Branthwaite will be a big edition but does he replace Keanu or Tarkowski as Keane has been our better defender this season

I don’t think there’s a lot in it but I would prefer him with Tarkowski.

I don't think you can rely on Branthwaite, he's injury prone anyway and players coming off a long injury end up with little niggles and strains while they try and get back up to full fitness. I would think we'll treat him with kid gloves for most of the remainder of the season and hopefully keep him fit over the summer and get a decent pre season. That's if we don't take what we can get and sell him.

Incongruous with thread title. Deflated now, was needing positivity. Just sayin'. ;)

Plenty to be positive about, I don't get the general downer some people have at times, it's probably just a default for many. Rome wasn't built in a day and all that I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing how the next few years pan out after all the shite we've been through. Branthwaite is a concern though. :)

I hear you and completely agree.

I just wasnt ready for "we might sell him" as I am keen as anything to witness this O'Brien Branthwaite colossal duo at the back for years to come.

We'll be up and down all season regardless of who is available, I still fully expect us to win a few, lose a few, frustrations to grow during bad times and over inflated expectations when we go on a small run.

50-60 points should be the aim, and I expect that's where we'll end up. But it won't be smooth sailing to get there, such is the life of a mid table team.

The way the league is set up anyone going on a run can give themselves a good chance of Europe.

We haven't really done that this season yet. If we can put together something like 4 wins in 6 in the next little while we could be in a great spot.

That being said, I do want to see young players getting minutes. This squad is far from perfect, but we do have some good young players and they should be getting a chance to develop. It's the only way long term we are going to step up the league.

We should see some more of our young players and we should get maybe 45 points-50 points.

Still hoping we can add a decent player or two in January. Will be a relief when players return
