There's an element of closing the gate after the horse has bolted though.

The arena planned for Kings Dock looked amazing. Not Bramley Moore levels, but brilliant none the less.

You have to imagine two decades of all that extra revenue would have probably had some kind of impact. (It would also have meant Kenwright lost that little leadership battle at the time!)

The big impact could have been when Sheikh Mansour was shopping for a club with a nice new stadium.

I think the kings dock would look kind of dated and inferior now. Something about it in that area makes me think it would have become a bit soulless.

Bramley moore is unique with the brick design and that massive steep stand.

Kings dock would have been a genuine game changer for us though at that point.

Bramley moore, as great as it is, is a millstone around the clubs neck at the moment and now the game has become a billion dollar industry the financial benefits of it in the long run won’t be as big as the kings dock would have been.

Would have been great with retractable pitch, roofed etc. But BMD does look more appealing.

yeah kings dock looked great at the time but it was right in the middle of a sea of luxury apartments
and was really just another souless bowl tbh
whereas the bramley moore is a stand alone unique piece of brilliant danny meiss architecture
with a genuine articulate statement to the port of lpools nautical past and right on the edge of the river mersey with stunning views from inside the stadium
its a f#####g masterpiece 8-)

No, we're thinking we will sell a minority stake in it.

Hopefully to an events and media organisation as opposed to a hedge fund.
