It makes it a little easier to part with Gana for AFCON that’s for sure.

Having Gana and KDH in the middle with Garner at RB is also an option. Although I think Garner does a better job at being a steady defensive presence. Having both Gana and KDH running around all over the pitch probably isn’t the best idea, although sounds quite fun

He was everywhere today, great on the ball and off it.

Loved the little battle in the middle that ended with him kicking off a little bit. He refused to be bullied by them and won battle after battle all game.

Was quite happy to get him in the summer but not overly inspired.

But he's becoming a crucial part of the team and really seems to love being here - really enjoy watching his celebrations with the fans.

Moyes tends to find these types of players. I think if he had still been managing us at the time, we would've likely tried to buy Bowen.

KDH feels like that sort of engine of a player.

I never doubted his quality.

Was frustrating early on when he was playing a bit too far forward and receiving the ball back to goal too often. That’s not his game.

Think we’ve tinkered with the approach a bit, even when he’s the “ten”, to make sure he’s picking the ball up a bit deeper. He’s rated as a good dribbler and progressive passer at every step of his career and we’ve put it to good use recently. Starting deeper has the dual effect of making his late runs into the box harder to mark so not much of a surprise that he’s been bagging more frequently too.

The character is a lovely bonus but not altogether shocking when you think about what it takes for an undersized, relatively unheralded youth player to make it at the level he’s made it at.
