Not sure Dibling would have offered anything based on performance so far.
Arsenal v Everton
Re: Arsenal v Everton
Apparently they're Arsenal fans and he got them tickets in the away end and they celebrated their goals. If that's right he probably needs to read the room a bit better before going on the socials to moan about it. Maybe have a go at your mates rather than fans of the club that pays your wages.
Re: Arsenal v Everton
Sorry, are we actually saying it’s ok for our fans to attack people like that if they celebrated some goals in a game of football?
Re: Arsenal v Everton
No, I haven't seen any videos but he put his mates there. Maybe don't go on the socials moaning about it though when your mates act like bellends in amongst the fans of the club you play for, it's not the smartest thing to do if they're celebrating Arsenal goals in the Everton away end.

Re: Arsenal v Everton
Also think people are being well harsh on Pickford. Every shot on goal is the whole team letting him down and he’s expected to save it, yet a cross he actually reached and altered the flight of he’s somehow responsible for how many players they had at the back stick, how we allowed them to play it across the goal line and how O’Brien stopped being goal side of Gyokeres and let him have a tap in?
Not having that.
Could he have done better? Yes.
Was it his fault they scored? Only in the same way it was the fault of Mykolenko allowing the cross, Garner not dealing with the back post and O’Brien letting his man walk past him.
We’ve seen time and again a keeper’s touch whip it away from an attacking head and called it brilliance. On another day we’d have said the same thing about this.
This loss is not on Pickford. It is on the squandered, wasted chances we had to put it in the net at their end.
Not having that.

Disagree Todd, it was a huge error. He should not be coming out to that ball, its a big error and its ended in a goal.Toddacelli wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2026 8:04 am Also think people are being well harsh on Pickford. It is also absolutely fine, he has saved us in games more times than i can count, so its not really a big deal.

Re: Arsenal v Everton
Idea of genius from Barry. "I've got you tickets in Everton's end". What happened would happen at any ground. Sit quietly, no problem.
Re: Arsenal v Everton
I think any goalkeeper who comes for a ball like Pickford did and doesn’t get it, then it’s an error on his part. Should others have done better? Probably so yes collectively the defence didn’t defend properly but Pickford still made an error that ultimately cost a goal. No issue far as I’m concerned, it happens.Toddacelli wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2026 8:04 am Also think people are being well harsh on Pickford. More bothered about who thought it was a good idea for him to go up for the corner - how many times does that lead to a goal vs how many times do the opposition score when they break away to an undefended goal. Again no major issue as we were losing anyway but it’d be interesting to see the stats.

Re: Arsenal v Everton
At the end of the day they would usually tank us. One nil at home and 2 nil at their ground. Which was really one nil if you don't count their second goal which was bad judgement by us. If McNeils had gone in it would be a different story. So there are signs we aren't the soft touch we were.
Re: Arsenal v Everton
There were two Arsenal players at the back post so if he doesn't come it's still potentially a goal.
It was a mistake but fine margins too. We saw countless times someone cut out a dangerous pass with a last ditch slide, or Graner put in a last ditch sliding tackle in the box, people throwing themselves in front of the ball. To get anything against a team like Arsenal you have to do these things, and Pickford got a touch on it and diverted it, however it just wasn't quite enough.
I get why he went for it, he almost pulled it off and did stop either player at the back post scoring, it was just unlucky it bounced straight to Gyokeres.
If he'd missed it completely then I'd say poor error, but as he diverted it enough to stop a back post header I'm more inclined say it was just a bit unfortunate.
