So when you’re typing in that you’d love to see Tim start and show what he can do - even autocorrect is like - fuck this, he clearly must mean someone else - I bet he meant Tom.

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Feels harsh to rate any player coming off the back of a long injury, but it was a disappointing cameo tonight which basically centred around poor decision making at a few key moments.
Could see us maybe moving him on this summer as I don't think Moyes is sold on him.

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Think there's a small positional niche where he might excel but not sure we play that way.
In a higher possession team that gets him on the ball nearer the goal more often Id think he'd do alright.
Decision making is often not great. Would love to see him bang some in given license to go forward, but with us? Don't know.

I agree. Chaos merchant further up the pitch. Attacking and direct, yet erratic and inconsistent.Cods wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2026 12:06 am Think there's a small positional niche where he might excel but not sure we play that way.

Should probably have had a season playing in the number 10 role in the division below.
Still very young though. Looks 35 but still only 23.

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Personally would be fine with moving him on for £20m or so, given how well stocked we are in midfield and use that money to add to the pot for reinvestment elsewhere in the team.
Re: Carlos Alcaraz
I was worried when I saw it was him coming on when we needed to see the game out, he's not someone you bring on to calm the situation.
Re: Carlos Alcaraz
I still like him, and as a backup to KDH I think he's a serviceable option.
Hard to come on in a game where the team has been so disciplined in almost every moment, but also as mentioned maybe not the player to bring on in those situations.
Only came on because Tim was down though I think, so was a needs must sub. Doubt Moyes would ever bring him on out of choice in that situation.

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Isn’t he on a 2 year contract or something. Don’t think we’ll get 20m for someone with 12 months left on his contract
Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Had a horrible year with injuries, proper hampered his development. I like him, but I think the temptation to cash ion (if it presents itself) will be acted upon.
Re: Carlos Alcaraz
I liked him last season, but then we were piss poor last season. We are a better team and he's far worse technically than all our other attacking options.
We should sell him if we get a decent deal
