Re: Scottish Football
Shame but I reckon last nights result and Celtic now thrashing Rangers means it's going to be very very hard for Hearts to win this now imo.
Re: Scottish Football
Draw at Parkhead needed it's looking like.
I do still think Celtic won't beat Motherwell though.

Re: Scottish Football
Hard game in the semi final first leg for Dunfermline there but came away with a 1-1 draw. Going to be tough at Firhill but they are still in it.
Andrew went off with cramp I think late on.

Re: Scottish Football
Kilmarnock safe, St Mirren into the play off and Livi already down. Neil McCann's done a decent job at Killie, St Mirren might regret letting Robinson go to Aberdeen although they were already in a spot of bother before he left.
Still think it's a bit weird that they have the final games of the season on different day, top 6 play on Saturday, bottom six on Sunday. I suppose they'd be hoping for a climax at both ends of the table, Premier Sports have Livie v Killie probably thinking it would be a relegation decider, just feels like it devalues the league a little.

I'm not a fan of the Scottish play off system, they can go through all these games then nothing changes, Partick or Dunfermline will play St Mirren, if St Mirren win then that's it, they stay up and no one else comes up, I think there needs to me a meaningful result at the end off it. Relegate two, promote one and let second to fifth sort it out in play offs, similar to the English set up.NomadskiEFC wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2026 8:40 pm Hard game in the semi final first leg for Dunfermline there but came away with a 1-1 draw. Re: Scottish Football
It’s terribly convoluted and very weighted towards the higher league club. It’s the kind of system you would imagine American sports would adopt if they had relegation and promotion.Gash wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2026 8:57 pm I'm not a fan of the Scottish play off system, they can go through all these games then nothing changes, Partick or Dunfermline will play St Mirren, if St Mirren win then that's it, they stay up and no one else comes up, I think there needs to me a meaningful result at the end off it. Re: Scottish Football
Be amazing if Hearts won the title tonight.
Obviously anything can happen in what essentially would be a final at the weekend but you do think Hearts will be praying for Motherwell to get something tonight.
If Celtic drew and Hearts won 2-0 tonight then Celtic would need to beat Hearts by 3 goals for the title.

Re: Scottish Football
Don't know if Falkirk will be right up for it, 5 behind Hibs so unlikely to finish higher but Motherwell need to win to guarantee to finish above Hibs and they play them on Saturday. It would be crazy after the season they've had if Motherwell finished 5th, just a shame they had that terrible run a few weeks back.
Re: Scottish Football
Give me 'Hearts, Hearts glorious Hearts' sung at full pelt before any of that YNWA shite.
