Man Utd - relegation?
Re: Man Utd
They're going to fall into the trap of appointing Carrick. Managed to get into third but I don't think they've been brilliant. Next season when they're playing 2 matches a week and then they'll end up in 10th and sack him. Can see it already.

Re: Man Utd - relegation?
tbh carrick should never be man utds next full time manager -
hes done what he is supposed to have done to get in the CL - and thats it
agreed - doesnt have the capacity to deal with the prem and CL week in week out
they will get it wrong again
they need an experienced manager like flick or ancelotti and they would be challenging for the prem and the CL
we can all see this as footy fans but the highly paid yes men at manu simply cant

I agree in the main, but since he took over no team in the league has taken more points than UTD.Evertonfc15 wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2026 7:51 am tbh carrick should never be man utds next full time manager -

That's pretty hard to argue against, especially given he's beaten Arsenal, City, Villa and Liverpool I believe in that time.
He probably isn't the right man, but also I think he's done enough to warrant the gig, in fact he really couldn't have done any more.
English managers don't really get a look in at top jobs, or at least itsy very rare, so personally I'm happy to see it go to an Englishman over a foreign coach.

Re: Man Utd - relegation?
Couple of my united mates saying it's just the cheap option for Jim.
Sentimental shite....
I was surprised they think that, but they want a proven winner to manage the demands of Europe and the league. And a bigger squad ...
They adore Carrick but said it's been running on good vibes since Amorin and that isn't going to last forever.

Agreement reached with Ole Gunner Carrick to become manager on a permanent basis.
