Not just a great player but a true leader and all round top bloke.

Shame the past few years his injuries have kept him largely out of the team, but it doesn't take away what a great servant he's been on and off the pitch.

Hope he moves in to coaching at some point, he's the type of person that would be a great loss to football if he leaves the game completely.

By all accounts an excellent human being and someone everyone will be proud to have represented Everton over the years. I find it difficult with Coleman a little bit because I feel we should have been looking to replace him in the first team in 2017 after Taylor broke his leg but he carried on as a first team regular anyway despite never really being the same player. Before that though he was easily one of the best fullbacks in the league and an absolutely joy to watch. The goals against Swansea and Southampton stand out to me under Martinez. The skills against Arsenal too!

I'm sure he'll still be a big part of the club going forward, which can only be a good thing.

A year on from leaving Goodison in what was an emotional time, it'll be another one on Sunday when our long serving captain waves farewell.

Can't wait for the day he leads us out as manager.

It will happen no doubt about it. True inspiration and a leader.

Quite emotional as an Irish toffee to hear this news. I have huge respect for Seamus and for all he has achieved in his career. I don't think he is the best right full we have ever had but possibly one of the greatest leaders. He hasn't won anything with us but in terms of impact I would put him right up there with Peter Farrell as a great Irish Evertonian. Best of luck to him. 60 grand I say!

Great great player. Last few years especially injuries have been bad. Amazingly still looks like our best RB by a distance just about anytime he's on the pitch.

I think his non playing impact was big the last few years when we were fighting relegation, having characters like him really mattered.
