Was poor this season for Newcastle, dropped off a fair amount from being a premier league player week in week out. Hopefully we don't go anywhere near him.

Hes a right back?? Weird that after a year long search (its probably closer to a decade) where weve been so picky we just haven't played a right back we are now talking about an old as fuck newcastle player and someone who couldn't get in the Sunderland team. Feels like weve gone from extremely picky (neglectful) to anything will do

Probably bollocks (hopefully) but imagine assembling a scouting team and they come up with Trippier.

We do seem to have a hard on for only signing an RB on a free don't we?

I'd love a link to some 25 year old international who cost around £25m.

Way better club than ours when it comes to recruitment. Same with Bournemouth. They lost all of their defenders last summer and now the big clubs want to buy all of their replacements! :)

We - on the other hand - are looking for some experienced players like Trippier, Bowden and I guess Soucek.

Is that scouting team David Moyes and some of his scouting mates from 20 years ago?

They're still looking in Kenwrights little black book of players I think.

🗞️Everton have made a direct approach to Atletico Madrid for Striker Alexander Sorloth. The Norwegian isn’t keen on the move at the moment. Atletico are asking for €30M. Other clubs are also interested

He did, but he's scored 33 in 69 at Atletico the past 2 seasons, and I'd 100% spend that money on him rather than Delap.

I think we need to accept that Moyes will bring in an experienced striker this summer because we already bought younger raw guy last year. We need someone who can lead the line competently and regularly while we slowly teach Barry how to do so.
