I would think he and the club will have known about it for a while, the case finished in October.

I can't even be bothered getting angry about it, there's nothing I can do about it and moaning or speculating about how they came to the decision isn't going to change that, as long as it doesn't impact our spending during the summer then we'll just need to let the club sort it out.

I see the club have hired Slaughter and May for the appeal, they're about as big a law firm in this country as you can get so they're really going for it. I guess Hill Dickinson don't deal in this kind of law?

Kind of pointless hiring expensive lawyers if the case is adjudicated by the Premier League, might as well just get a couple of us to do it if the case isn't actually a legal one and just a panel from our governing body as judge and jury.

I think the money side is kind of irrelevant as sounds like it's coming out of Moshiri's pocket anyway, it's more the injustice and how we always seem to be the example whilst others get away scot free

Likely a minority opinion from a Burnley fan but still interesting.

You can understand burnley wanting compensating. They were disadvantaged and then others benefited when we were punished. That tends to be how it works though. When suarez was banned for biting Italy didnt benefit. When players are banned for yellows its future opponents who profit

I dont see how they've any right to compensation. The 19 Premier league teams were compensated when we had points deducted. Luton got their compensation. We haven't ended up better off without hindsight. Just a promoted team took their benefits

I think whatever punishment is needed, it has to be dished out by the premier league. You can't open the floodgates to ligitation. It will set a dangerous precident that could allow any party affected to jump on board. "Burnley Local Businesses Sue Everton for Lost Income from being Relegated"

Then I'm confused about why he said 4/5 weeks when the action was launched 3(ish?) years ago.

Perhaps it was just that we were given advice that it was likely we would lose the case, given how it was tracking? Or how long it was going to last.

Who knows.
Exactly mate the initial action was probably launched however long ago it was…but like everything else they do they havent got a clue and it drags on and on….until finally it’s a case of oh shit we need to get this off the table (4/5 weeks ago) so fuck it just find them guilty….without substantial justification of the reason behind the findings…..opens big can of worms…..and not to go fishing with!!!

PS. I also think in their feeble minds they think it hides the Chelsea debacle that they also fkked up…….
Not realising it will actually highlight their inadequacy of governance and decision making….and that ship hasn’t sailed yet…..imbeciles….

I have a feeling that may be the paragraph that Everton are disputing as factually inaccurate. Everton admitted that there was a breach of PSR, but it was established that this resulted in no sporting advantage. Just because Burnley's legal team state that it is common ground does not mean that it is fact. The only fact is that a breach was admitted.
