Juanito wrote: Tue Jun 16, 2026 1:59 pm Come on, the way we play is soul destroying for any forward players. He has nobody around him, if he goes for a give and go with Beto or Barry, he wouldn't get it back, there are no patterns of play, he's got a 6ft 5 centre back behind him who can't link up with him. It's like when we had Dom chasing aimless balls all game, getting slammed by centre backs, running himself into the ground and then we complain when he misses chances. Our football, under Dyche and now Moyes is from a bygone era.
Jack Grealish got double his assists (6 vs 3) for the entire season despite being injured for half of it. By the third game of the season he had already got more assists than Ndiaye would do over the season. Plus he constantly talks well about Moyes...so maybe it's not totally all bad?

That last bit aside, maybe Ndiaye's just ready to move on and that's fine, it's understandable. But I think you're making excuses for him a bit here. There are certainly issues with our setup, but I still think Ndiaye could do better too.

I'll add again, I'd like him to stay as he's fun to watch and we need some of that, but I think it's also fair to say he could've done more last season.

I don't begrudge any player wanting to move on to better there career. It's the same in most industries/sectors, people moving on to further advance careers.

Fair, fair. I’m just devastated he’s leaving

Particularly hard on the boots, is it?
