Why are all of the commentators so up Ronaldo’s ass?

Portugal are clearly struggling and Ronaldo is having a shocker but they’re suggesting that they should take off one of their amazing midfielders to put a striker up with Ronaldo rather than just hook Ronaldo

Anyway get ready for the scapegoat and Fume...
Has it? 🤷‍♂️

I mean guessing that it’s the same lineup that started against Costa Rica isn’t a massive leap

Commentators still glazing him too. "Great header" as he heads it straight to a Congo player.

The thing is he'll end up scoring as he's surrounded by quality and spends the entire match on the pitch

It's the fanatic fawning of the superstars that I can't stand in these tournaments.

Like Townsend on commentary last night at 2-0 said something along the lines of "The Algierians can make all the plans they want but when Messi does this then there's nothing that can stop it"

Maybe if their keeper didn't make a couple of absolute howlers?

Even for the tap-in he was talking about a brilliant finish on his weaker foot. Like, come on.

Bizarre team for me. Midfield of Rice/Anderson/Bellingham is top quality and Kane is too but I just can't imagine this team winning a world cup. We're only an injury to Reece James from Jarrell Quansah playing at fullback. Luckily Reece James never gets injured.
. Pickford
James Konsa Stones O'Reilly
Anderson Rice
Madueke Bellingham Gordon

It’s a really good team I think.

Obviously looks a lot better with Saka in there.
