I think it’s more the body of evidence from last season paid big money for 4 younger players and he never played them aznou dibling alcaraz and Rohl whereas he played the others even though at a lot of times it wasn’t working

No it's not, it's just cranks going OTT after no signings and a few laboured pre season games. It's happened every preseason of late and doesn't surprise me at all

Just worried the main reason for hold ups is committee pulling towards youth and potential, and Moyes insisting on prem proven/post peak age players

I'd imagine Moyes and the committee are pretty united on getting Spence or Doue tbh. I doubt one side is pulling for someone shitter just because they prefer a certain age bracket.

Both would come in and immediately improve us, so they'll be trying to find a way to make one of those deals happen, and selling Ndaiye is probably the key part of that.

Whether either will actually want to come is probably a different matter entirely, but I guess wve had at least some sort of encouragement.

I think we all wanted to see them more. But let's be honest, Dibling and Aznou hardly pulled up any trees. Alcaraz was injured most of the time. And Röhl played quite a bit - could probably have played more - but he also had an injury earlier in the season too, so may have needed time to regain match fitness, which is never ideal mid-season.

The way it's going this summer, you should get your wish to see them more.

I won’t though because myko will start every game if fit and if McNeil stays he gets dibling minutes on the pitch moyes I have the utmost respect for what he has done here but he got found out last season especially the last 6 games and even though a blind man could see it wasn’t working he stuck with basically the same side every game

These players are holding out, waiting for better offers and clubs. We don’t have the pull or can offer the wages to get these deals over the line. That’s not to excuse the club in any way, but that’s why a lot of deals get done later in the window.

Can see how this relates to Doue etc, but there are still dozens of players in the £20m bracket that would jump at the chance of earning £50k p/w in the PL.

Still all comes down to courage of your convictions and bravery in the market.

Which is fine if it is a player who you really like and would be integral but to hang your hat on that as a transfer policy is tremendously risky.

If we had a manager who backed himself to coach players of a certain ability up into the next bracket then we would be fine. However I don't see much evidence of that with Moyes and I don't think he is going to change now.
