If only Moyes had the balls to start him against Stuttgart, think this should be his breakout year.

Only saw the second half but enjoyed it. Lots of positives with Rohl, Barry, Aznou, KDH, etc. Maybe the outlook is quite so bleak. Decent work out especially as Hamburg took it seriously.

Our pressing went up by 1 million percent once Röhl was in the centre.

Even Dibling got in on the act pressing centrally, and Armstrong, and Braiden’s press won it in the end.

Aznou was obviously wonderful going forward, but he also looked more physically imposing and better in the air than Mykolenko, too. Moyes should show some nads and persevere with him at lb, keep Merlin central, and give a lot more minutes to Dibling, as I think that’s all he needs.

Steady with the positives 🙃

Not a bad watch at times, Rohl was great

Great sportsmanship from Hamburg’s Digne lookalike to stretch his hammy out for him

So good to hear some proper, considered commentary, as well; Even though it was in German it was far more understandable and listenable than Daz, Snods, and Stuart, who are so very, very turd.

Yeah, I agree, although most of the positives I saw (Barry’s effort levels and awareness, Röhl’s pressing and drive from midfield, Dibling being more up for it, and Aznou looking like the best lb in the world) I fear will not resonate much with Moyes

I reckon this lad would be comfortable anywhere in the world as long as he’s around good people where he can share the love

Great lad.

The grouse scouse Toffee-haus...Kraus.

ah, its 3am I've got nothing.

EDIT:
Disclaimer: Before anyone jumps on that, and to clarify, no, it is not that word you might be thinking of, misspelled. Look it up if you like. We don't use that word here, I've just realised that that might have been assumed and taken the wrong way.

It means both curly haired, and emotionally intelligent, a gem of a bloke, which seems to fit reasonable well.

Thought I'd better put this in there in case anyone took the 'wrong end of the stick', as it were.

Thought the second half was pretty positive for a pre season game. We didn't seem too solid but tried things, decent movement and interplay at times but final ball missing a couple of times.

Thought Röhl and Aznou looked good, George and Hackney looked decent. Good young core to the side.
