Can't really blame him, as an attacking, flair player it must be sole destroying playing for us with our tactics.

Yeah don’t blame him at all. It’s better now than if it were the last 12 months of his contract.
Thanks for the memories Illy - good luck to ya.

I'm surprised he doesn't fancy another season of Moyes tbh. We might win a trophy next season! Oh well. Dwight still going?

Basically the article reads I'm too good to be here so I'm off. I'd take the money for him rather than have a player who doesn't want to be here.
I'd be surprised if he wasn't tapped up at the African world cup.

Imagine being him though and seeing your chief exec come out with quotes about being happily dissatisfied when you finish 13th.

Those last few weeks of the season and our reaction to it has showed everyone what type of club we are.

Well, mid-table mediocrity beats relegation surfing I suppose…

Is he levels above a plodding non ambitous club with a nice stadium, I'm not so sure he is.

I like him, and I’d rather we added and kept him but you can’t get around the fact he was a decent part of the reason we didn’t get Europe at the end.

We played him pretty much every minute, he’s saying he wasn’t tired essentially, then why the poor form? Was he playing it safer with the World Cup coming up?

He almost certainly would do better surrounded by better players, most players would. But I honestly don’t know if he’s of that really top tier though? His stats are kinda underwhelming, but he has another opportunity to show it at the World Cup and get the move he wants and remove those sort of doubts.

Best thing for us at this point is he does well and we get a bumper payday. It’s more probably more of a predicament if he sucks at the World Cup.

Doesn’t have to be a top tier player to leave us unfortunately.

We’ve seen our best assets move to teams like Villa and Newcastle over the last couple of years.

I don’t think any of the elite teams will make a big bid for him, but can definitely see a team like Villa or an Italian team coming in for him.

Come on, the way we play is soul destroying for any forward players. He has nobody around him, if he goes for a give and go with Beto or Barry, he wouldn't get it back, there are no patterns of play, he's got a 6ft 5 centre back behind him who can't link up with him. It's like when we had Dom chasing aimless balls all game, getting slammed by centre backs, running himself into the ground and then we complain when he misses chances. Our football, under Dyche and now Moyes is from a bygone era.

Trouble is we judge him by what his numbers are here. And we judge bigger clubs' cast offs that we bring in by what they did at better teams.

We lose real quality, and gain cast offs, and often overpay for the privilege.
