Doesn't give us much at all.
In fairness, the rest of the team don't give him much either.
I have definite concerns around him and he's had some poor performances, but he doesn't seem like a major issue in our overall woes in the last couple of games.

Thing that has me worried is how shite wolves were yet tolu and stand Larsson both got involved, competed, looked comfortable winning flick ins in a way Barry doesn't really

Think hes a major issue. For huge parts of almost every game hes just not involved at all. He seems to go under the radar for some because if he doesn't touch it hes not making mistakes
If he drops off and lays it off 4 or 5 times a game people say hes played well.

The way we play it is becoming apparent we need someone with a bit of nous up top to play that role.
We're not in the business of short intricate triangles, hitting the byeline and delivering crosses or balls over the top to run in behind. The type of things young strikers could work with and develop.
We have a slow build up, methodical tactics and we don't create much. So we need a striker who can work defenders, create his own space and know how to hold the ball up well every time and bring others into play. All things a young striker learns to do with experience.
Until we change the way we play, or buy some full backs who are capable of overlapping and creating space out wide, he'll continue to be a passenger who has to wait until he can grab a rare opportunity to get a chance or a shot away.

Proper goalscorers finish that. Made up for him.

4 in his last 8 league games I think they said... Becoming a decent goal threat now he's more up to speed!
1x left foot slot 1v1
1x left foot dink over a keeper rarely beaten in that manner
1x right foot slot 1v1
1x far post header
Good variation there which shows how he got double figures in La Liga last season, and why there's a bit of a bags man vibe to him overall.
Some really good link up play too and competed well with headed duels.
No worries about this lad anymore imo, going to be a very good player for us.

Maybe his best all around game today?
Worked hard, won lots in the air, linked with others well, classy finish.

The touch for the chance in the first minute as well.
Who on earth scouted this lad because I want to shake his hand.

Sure can finish. All the time he's been desperate to score and struggling to get on the end of things he's never snatched at chances or taken stupid shots.
