They're in their Roberto Martinez 2nd season stage now.
All the great things that the previous manager (Moyes/Klopp) put in place are fading away, and after a good first season where there seemed to be a nice fusion of styles between the old and the new, the more time passes, the more that the new (Martinez/Slot) is proving to be quite empty and lacking in substance.
This is such a good analogy. I can't wait for the Allardyce bit and then Lampard I'm getting the fucking popcorn out.

That would be the dream, but the reality is they’ll chuck another half a billion on players in the summer and do ok

Probably so, but one wrinkle for their owners is their baseball team (Red Sox) are currently having a terrible start to their season too. So they might have multiple fires to put out, possibly less money to throw at Liverpool..? Although watch them spend another 500 billion or something this summer.

The board have apparently said they are backing slot and announcing club legend and all round beautiful human being Andy "Robbo" Robertson is leaving the club.

van dijk giving kerkez death stares throughout the season is very entertaining
cant believe lpool letting roberton go as he is still a quality LB - big mistake for lpool

Not if we're keeping Grealish, need a Antonee Robinson type rather than an older slow guy who can't provide the pace and overlaps.

Not sure I would either, Kerkez has been a shadow of his Bournemouth former self and he's comfortably kept him out this season. Feels like Scotland is calling for the self proclaimed "hard" man
