Rhian Brewster.

Hyped up by Liverpool after scoring 10 goals in the championship which meant Sheffield United bought him for £23m.

Played 27 appearances in the Premier League for them, scoring zero goals and them being relegated bottom of the league.

Then scored 4 goals in 30 championship appearances over the next two seasons where he did get a bad injury.

Zero goals in 5 matches so far this season.

Jordon Ibe is a similar profile. Playing for Wycombe at 15, snapped up by that lot and then flogged go Bournemouth for a then club record £15m aged 21.

Now 28 and playing for Ebbsfleet in the National League.

They had a left back, an Aussie if I remember right

Possibly played twice then went to Bournemouth for about 8m
Not sure if he ever played

Brad Smith IIRC? Think Bournemouth were just buying any Liverpool young player at that time. Solanke has turned out alright but they only spent that much on his because he was being hyped as the next great striker.

Surprised they didn't manage to blag that Ben Woodburn to a team

You'd be hard pushed to beat Jack Rodwell to Sunderland.

Antony is a particularly horrendous one, given that they spent £100m on him and ETH had coached him and knew exactly what he was capable of. Almost a sackable offence on it's own for the manager to stake so much on him, and be so wrong.

Apart from being fucking annoying and potentially a very bad guy if the allegations are true, he is nowhere near equipped to thrive at the top end of the Prem.

Maybe not quite as bad as some of the names here but Casimero has been a horrendous piece of business for United and they were making out he was going to lead them to trophies last season.

He’s a pudding.

Jack Rodwell to Man City?
His Sunderland transfer was waaaaay worse given his crippling wages and refusal to play or move. Was an enormous anchor around their necks.

Kai havertz.
The money arsenal shelled out on him was insane
I will be amazed if it doesn't end in tears sooner rather than later.

Really bad. Thought it was mental that people were thinking Arteta would somehow make him a better player. Wasn't like he was bad for a little bit at Chelsea, he was rubbish the 3 years he was there.

Yup i can't recall a single game when i've thought he did ok.
I just can't see anything in him, i don't know what he brings to the table.

Niklas Bendtner was a funny one.

Couldn't knock the guys self confidence though to be fair.

Can't remember the exact year but I remember he said he was gonna be the top scorer in the Premier league, the CL and in the Euros of that year too.

I think he ended up scoring like 3 across all comps.
