Re: Dwight McNeil
Proper wand of a left foot on him, but that's all. I've genuinely never seen anyone play for us in the prem that is that slow. I don't necessarily mean in terms of run speed, but you can see the cogs turning...every single touch, pass, shot is telegraphed...unreal. Can't help but think he'd be a rea...

Re: Scouting/recruitment
Rohl and Aznou, yes. Barry and Dibling I still think have the potential to do well and be decent players.777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Thu Jan 15, 2026 6:00 pm As things stand would you take our money back on any of them if offered?

Re: Patterson Future
This lad makes me think "poor recruitment". Think he obviously has some of the tools and talent, looked a good player north of the border, but my impression is he just doesn't have the mentality for it. He's ok once he's had about half an hour to ease into a game. I know he's been out a fa...

Re: January Transfer Window
He’s still a better defender than Patterson, O’Brien or Garner at RB though Don't think I agree with this. There's a difference between tackling and defending. He's not bad at tackling, but he's awful defending. The amount of goals we concede, even ones that you can't blame on him and he's out of p...

Re: Merlin Röhl
Loan with an obligation to buy at £20m seems like very good business to me. Seems a tad on the expensive side. €12m valuation on transfermarkt, missed quite a chunk of games last season. Was linked with €20m moves in Jan. Has since lost his place as a starter for Freiberg. Seems strange he would no...

Re: James Garner
One thing I saw, albeit against Mansfield, was that it seemed to me that Grealish looked to Garner quite often...like he trusts him. Think he has looked good in the few games this season and will benefit more from the technical style of football we look like we are starting to play. Think it encoura...

Re: Tyler Dibling
Lost it once or twice. Passed it backwards mostly. Bit meh but my mate is a Saints fan, having seen him play and watching him last night said he thought he looked a bit unfit. Has missed a lot of preseason.

Re: The Rebuild
Surprised at the desire for Hackney. Seen a lot of their fans saying they don't rate him, gives the ball away too often and cheaply. Makes a lot of silly mistakes. If he's doing that in the Championship I definitely worry about him stepping up the Prem. Having said that, sounds like an Everton player.

Re: The Rebuild
My son has just asked if the Douglas Luiz news means that Alisha Lehmann will be joining Everton ladies 😆 Hopefully not. Can't stand her. Not that I care much for the ladies footy like. Def a good signing this one if we can make it happen. Still feel like we need more creativity in the middle thoug...

Re: Thierno Barry
Lot of money for him, think both sets of fans are happy though. Don't think he's worth it as he is right now, but the potential is there. Don't see him starting the season over Beto.

Fingers crossed he lives up to what he did in my FM save (not with Everton). We sold him for £56m to Arsenal. He won the World Cup, Euros, Serie A twice, Italian Cup twice (AC Milan), Carabao Cup (Arsenal), Serie A player of the year twice. Incredible career.

Re: The Friedkin Group
I have been thinking - this guy traded Luka He did not. This is not how basketball works. He has consistently said that he was unaware of the trade until the last minute. GMs and Owners deal with these things, though you would normally expect the coach to be consulted or informed - apparently not t...

Can't say I've ever seen Rohl play, but his numbers are incredibly underwhelming.
