Re: David Moyes
I wasn’t massively into the appointment but I’m in disbelief at how we’re sat in 13th after how it was going with the fella before. Especially considering how the narrative was the we couldn’t do any better than him.

Re: David Moyes
Sooo… is Moyes’ job to get sacked now?
Like, I would describe his job now as take 1-3 yrs to turn us into an attractive prospect for a top manager. Which is weird, when you think about it.

Re: David Moyes
Done a tremendous job really hasn't he? Worst we can finish now is 14th, been a very very comfortable end to the season and today (from what I could gather on TV) was a happy celebration instead of the nail biting stress fest it could easily had been.
Can never really understand why West Ham never fully embraced him, they were better with him, we are better with him. Exactly the manager we needed and you can't imagine him leaving us whenever that happens in anything other than a better place than he found us in when he walked back in through that door.

Re: David Moyes
Yeah he's managed 28 points with a game to spare. Given a full season he'd be getting us mid 50ish with these players.
Had my reservations when he rejoined but he's done a remarkable job. Most importantly he gets the fanbase.

Re: David Moyes
I don't think he's done a remarkable job just because the bottom 3 have been that bad and we were nowhere near as bad as Dyche made out, but I'll give him an 8/10 so far. My optimism will depend on how the summer goes.
Re: David Moyes
He's done well, kept a cool head and got us scoring and creating from open play.
We struggled with Ndiaye injured and McNeil still out, we need massive upgrades on Harrison, Doucoure and Lindstrom to improve next season.
Also, an actual set piece coach and not a chancer.

Re: David Moyes
We’re not just above the bottom three though, we’re above the bottom seven and given we were just one point above the bottom three when Moyes came in, with every indication that we were going to circle the drain for the rest of the season I would give him more than an 8/10.

Done very well considering what he inherited needs a big summer in the market but there is a niggling doubt in my mind about him hope I’m wrong

Re: David Moyes
Personally think 10/10 for the first part of the job. Much better than we could have hoped for, given how bleak things looked earlier in the year. Completely transformed the club.
Now we reset and the next part of the job starts, and he'll be marked accordingly on the summer transfer window and then next season.

Re: David Moyes
He's now managed a similar amount of games this season as Dyche had and the difference is night and day. Done well, steadied the ship and pulled us away from trouble quite easily. I think Dyche would have got us safe too but more because the bottom three were so poor but we'd probably be 17th on 30 odd points at best.
Big test comes in the summer now, not just for Moyes but the owners too. I still have reservations about Moyes having full control of transfers and would rather see a DOF come in but time will tell if he can still pick out some decent players at good money. We still might see someone like David Weir come in.
