They’re not real Blues at all. Not even real football fans, behaving like that. Barely even real people.

Did anyone think he'd put that chance away?

No chance.

Be interesting to see if other clubs show an interest in him.

Don't reckon there will be loads knocking at the door like.

Did he? Didn't even try and place it, just lashed at it.

Think it's definitely time for him to move on. Awful finisher. Awful fitness record. He's probably not worth half what he's currently on. That double miss was a fitting end.

Think he's gonna struggle for a decent move unless he's willing to go abroad. He's absolutely no chance of getting the money we pay him

Would be surprised if he's not released, Moyes said he'll say more today about contracts, but outside of the miss DCL didn't look particularly keen to do anything that might put his body at risk of injury.

Looked very much like a player about to leave.

The vibes are just not there. Couple of great seasons under Ancelotti and that goal against Palace will be remembered and appreciated but it's time to part ways and hopefully he still gets a decent reception when he returns because he hasn't done anything wrong really, unless you count being injured and missing big chances as something malicious.

Been an excellent guy , for the price we paid , Appreciate everything he has down . Unfortunately looks like he needs a move more for himself as well.

I think the fact he only got a few minutes at the end yesterday says a lot even though Beto was knackered, more of a chance to say goodbye to the fans than a chance to earn a new contract.

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin

The main thing is that he just isn’t a top finisher. His all round game is decent, but Beto is better than him in a lot of areas and more of a consistent threat.

The above is especially true when you consider the way we play, which is more suited to Beto running onto long/targeted through balls. DCL has never been good at this part of the game.

So I say, thanks for your service, good luck in all that you do from here, and goodbye.

More or less how I feel.

I like him but he needs a change of scenery to get back to something like his best. It doesn’t feel like it’s going to happen here ever again. I think he’d smash it abroad (plus I really don’t want to see him play for another English side).

I think we need someone fresh to rotate with Beto and develop as an eventual replacement, not a player with fitness issues trying to recover lost form.

I neither care if he stays or he goes anymore. He has dragged this out to the point of his irrelevance.

Similar to others I say thanks for your efforts and goals over the years but we can’t be paying 100k a week for the recent lack of productivity and action

Really, I’ll never understand why you didn’t sign a deal last year, given your fitness record.

I expect you to have a difficult season at somewhere like Leeds next year, maybe sheff united, which is a shame

He obviously thought he could do better. His decision not to sign will probably cost him about half the value of that contract. Be very interesting as to where he ends up. His fitness record and goalscoring has been diabolical in recent seasons

Hard to imagine he'd get a better footballing offer than us now. Financially he may be better off elsewhere though.
